Chandler (3-8) took the loss Tuesday, giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.1 innings as the Pirates were blanked 8-0 by the Phillies. He struck out six.

The right-hander kept things close until running out of gas in the seventh inning after 97 pitches (65 strikes), but Chandler had no margin for error with Cristopher Sanchez locked in for Philly. It's the first time since June 2 that Chandler has been tagged for more than two earned runs, and over six starts on the month he posted a 4.28 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB in 33.2 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, which is set to come on the road this weekend against the Nationals.

De La Cruz batted leadoff and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to Milwaukee.

Fresh off the injured list a week ago, De La Cruz endured a four-game stretch in which he had one hit in 14 at-bats but has turned that around. He's hit in three straight games since, going 4-for-13 with a home run, a double, two RBI and three runs scored. De La Cruz has served as the leadoff hitter the last four games since Blake Dunn (elbow) landed on the injured list.

Gibson (1-3) took the loss Tuesday as the Orioles were downed 9-3 by the White Sox, coughing up eight runs on seven hits and six walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out five.

Things fell apart for Gibson in the third inning as Chicago piled on seven runs, including a 440-foot homer from Colson Montgomery that left Camden Yards completely and landed on Eutaw Street. The rookie right-hander has been taken deep five times in his last four starts while stumbling to a 10.69 ERA over 16 innings, and with Dean Kremer (quadriceps) expected to rejoin the rotation Wednesday, Gibson will likely be shipped back to Triple-A Norfolk to make room on the big-league roster.

McLain entered Tuesday's game as a pinch hitter and played an inning in center field. He went 0-for-1 and caught a line drive in a 7-2 loss to the Brewers.

McLain pinch hit for center fielder TJ Friedl in the eighth inning before finishing the game in the outfield -- his first time playing there as a major-leaguer. Normally an infielder, McLain did pregame drills in the center field the last two days and could get more work in games there as the Reds cope with injuries to Blake Dunn (elbow) and Dane Myers (shoulder).

Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Orioles.

The rookie infielder drove in three runs for a second straight game as he enjoys his trip to Baltimore, and Gonzalez has erupted for 12 total RBI in the last five contests. Since making his big-league debut May 31, Gonzalez has delivered a .260/.341/.397 slash line with two homers, 11 runs and 17 RBI in 24 games.

Montgomery went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Orioles.

The 24-year-old shortstop crushed a Trey Gibson slider in the third inning, launching it 440 feet to right field and leaving Camden Yards completely. It was Montgomery's fourth homer in the last nine games, but he has just seven total hits during that stretch and a 2:15 BB:K. On the season, he sports a .221/.311/.482 slash line with 21 long balls, 40 runs, 49 RBI and a 32.0 percent strikeout rate in 81 contests.

Fedde (3-6) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up three runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a 9-3 victory over the Orioles. He struck out three.

It wasn't a particularly sharp performance from the right-hander, who tossed 54 of 90 pitches for strikes, but the White Sox backed Fedde with a seven-run third inning that decided the game early. It's the first time in four outings that Fedde has lasted five innings and he hasn't served up a homer in any of them, posting a 3.31 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 13:9 K:BB over 16.1 innings during that stretch. He'll look to build on this effort in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Cleveland.

Kepler went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Giants.

Kepler, who recently completed an 80-game suspension, was hitless in his first nine at-bats with Arizona before snapping that run of futility with a first-inning double. He later singled and scored in the fourth. Kepler has started four of his five games with the club, taking over the strong side of a platoon in left field with Lourdes Gurriel, who's been the team's primary designated hitter since Kepler's arrival.

Velazquez went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Atlanta.

Velazquez put the Cardinals on the board with a solo homer off Martin Perez in the fourth inning. It was his third homer of the year. Since being recalled May 29, the slugger is batting .316 (12-for-38) while starting almost exclusively against southpaws. He is unlikely to earn everyday at-bats, but the Cardinals should continue rotating him into the lineup in place of Alec Burleson, Lars Nootbaar or Nathan Church whenever they face a left-handed starter.

Caminero went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Royals.

Caminero delivered the biggest blow of Tampa Bay's six-run third inning, crushing a three-run homer off Noah Cameron to break the game open. The 22-year-old has now homered in five straight games and is batting .500 (10-for-20) with 15 RBI during that stretch. Even more impressively, Caminero has launched eight home runs over his last seven games, becoming the first player age 22 or younger to accomplish that feat since at least 1900. The third baseman is now slashing .294/.384/.555 with 23 home runs, 12 doubles, 52 RBI and 53 runs scored across 82 games this season.
