Jimenez (knee) faced five hitters in a simulated bullpen session Friday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Jimenez is in the final stages of his recovery from multiple surgeries on his left knee, and he hasn't pitched in a game at any level since the end of the 2024 season. The next step for the veteran right-hander is to pitch in an instructional league game, since minor-league seasons are coming to an end. Jimenez is unlikely to pitch for Atlanta this season, but he is trending toward being available for the start of spring training.

McGonigle went 2-for-5 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 11-7 win over the Rockies.

McGonigle is batting only .244 across 10 contests this month, though he's gone deep three times in his last five games. Overall, the rookie infielder is batting .272 with 17 home runs, and the fact that his power is beginning to emerge at the MLB level is a promising sign going forward. McGonigle profiles as someone who can maintain a strong batting average throughout his career, and it's starting to look like he could be a perennial threat to tally 20 homers as well.

Valencia went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Saturday's 11-7 win over the Rockies.

Valencia isn't seeing everyday playing time as the backup to Dillon Dingler behind the plate, but he's performing well when given the opportunity. The 26-year-old rookie is slashing .320/.340/.598 with six home runs and 18 RBI across 97 at-bats so far this season. It will be interesting to see what Valencia's role will be in 2027, as it appears he can hit at the MLB level, but the 27-year-old Dingler also looks to be part of Detroit's long-term plans.

Sogard started at first base and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over Kansas City. He was also hit by a pitch and caught stealing.

Sogard, who made a fourth consecutive start at first base, got involved offensively late in the game. He doubled and scored in the seventh inning and then knocked in Boston's final run with an eighth-inning double. Sogard and Mickey Gasper have been filling in for the injured Willson Contreras (hamstring) at first base.

Clark went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 11-7 win over the Rockies.

A day after launching a home run against Colorado, Clark kept rolling with his third three-hit performance of the month. In September, the dynamic rookie is slashing .382/.500/.588 with a home run, three stolen bases, five RBI and eight runs scored across 10 games. Clark is trending up as he wraps up his first MLB campaign, and he figures to carry plenty of momentum into 2027.

Pederson had X-rays on his hand come back negative after being hit by a pitch during Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The 34-year-old initially remained in to run the bases after the hit-by-pitch but was eventually replaced by a pinch hitter. The results of the initial X-rays are encouraging, but Pederson is still scheduled to undergo further testing to determine the full extent of the injury. The slugger wasn't likely to be in the lineup for Sunday's series finale regardless of the injury since lefty Eduardo Rodriguez is taking the mound for Arizona.

Brieske (1-0) allowed a run in 1.2 innings of relief but managed to earn the win in Saturday's 11-7 victory over the Rockies. He struck out two.

Brieske served up a solo home run to Ezequiel Tovar but otherwise pitched well to earn just his second win since the beginning of 2025. The righty reliever was called up Sept. 1 after last pitching in the majors in July. Brieske looks like a low-leverage relief option the rest of the way for the Tigers, which limits his fantasy upside.

Norby went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored Saturday against the Tigers.

Norby continues to play a prominent role in the Rockies' lineup, particularly against lefties. He's hit second in the order in six consecutive games against southpaws, and he's hit well overall since the start of September. Across 10 games, he's maintained a .273 average with a 10.5 percent walk rate, one home run, two RBI and six runs scored.

Seigler was removed from Saturday's game after experiencing pain in his right wrist following a swing, MLB.com reports. He hurt the wrist in the fourth inning and was eventually removed in the seventh.

Seigler, who was called up to Boston on Friday as a replacement for Eli White (foot), started at second base before departing. He was replaced by Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Seigler underwent further testing and evaluation following the game.

Cornelio will serve as the Nationals' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Angels, Kyle Williams of TheBanner.com reports.

Cornelio will draw his second start of the season after firing three scoreless innings as an opener his last time out Tuesday in San Diego. The right-handed rookie has regularly worked multiple frames for the Nationals, throwing at least 30 pitches in 10 of his 13 big-league appearances. Jake Irvin -- Sunday's originally scheduled starter -- could be an option to follow in bulk relief, though the Nationals haven't revealed their pitching plans beyond Cornelio's starting assignment.
