The Padres placed Bogaerts on the paternity leave list Tuesday.

Bogaerts will likely be away from the club for its final two games of a series versus the Reds before he rejoins his teammates this weekend when the Padres begin a road trip in Baltimore. Sung-Mun Song will likely handle shortstop for San Diego while Bogaerts is away.

Diaz (oblique) is starting a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

The 27-year-old has been on the injured list since early May due to an oblique strain, but he's been cleared for game action after ramping up his baseball activities. Diaz had a poor start to the season offensively with a .602 OPS through 26 games, and Christian Vazquez's superior work behind the plate could mean that the Astros deploy a more even split of playing time at catcher, per Rome.

The Rockies sent Herget (shoulder) to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.

Herget has been out for nearly a month with a right shoulder impingement, but he's been cleared to return to game action. The side-armer will likely require at least a couple rehab appearances before rejoining the Rockies' bullpen. Herger has posted a 5.06 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB in 16 innings this season.

Vodnik (elbow) was sent to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.

Vodnik has recovered well after missing the past three weeks of action with right ulnar nerve inflammation. Since his absence has been relatively brief, the reliever should not require too many rehab appearances. Vodnik still leads the Rockies with four saves this season, but he allowed 14 runs over his last nine innings before going on the 15-day injured list, so the club will likely ease him back into high-leverage spots when he's ready to return.

Single-A Charleston placed Gray on its 7-day injured list June 1 due to an unspecified issue.

Gray's move to the IL temporarily halts what's been a magnificent first season in the professional ranks for the 18-year-old, who has settled in at first base after being listed as a catcher when he was selected in the third round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft. Prior to hitting the shelf, Gray produced a .286/.406/.474 slash line with a 16.8 percent walk rate and 21.9 percent strikeout rate over 192 plate appearances with Charleston.

The White Sox are slated to call up Montgomery from Triple-A Charlotte, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Montgomery began the 2026 season at Double-A Birmingham before being promoted to Charlotte in early May. He's been excellent at both stops, slashing a combined .314/.422/.548 with 10 home runs, five stolen bases and a 39:64 BB:K over 56 contests. Montgomery has some swing-and-miss concerns, but he draws walks and has big power. He's played both center and right field this season in the minors and could be used at either or both positions with the White Sox.

Eldridge went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a run scored in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

Eldridge singled in the sixth inning and later hit an RBI double in the eighth before coming around to score. The 21-year-old has reached base safely in each of his last 15 appearances, batting .392 with 13 runs scored, five RBI, one home run and an 8:11 BB:K in 60 plate appearances during that span. Overall, he's slashing .287/.364/.448 with 14 runs scored, seven RBI and two long balls across 99 plate appearances this season.

Gusto is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks in Miami.

After being recalled Triple-A Jacksonville last Tuesday, Gusto pitched two innings out of the bullpen later that day in a 7-3 win over the Nationals. The Marlins then tabbed Gusto to fill the open spot in their rotation Friday, but because he was pitching on just two days' rest, he served as more of an opener and made just a two-inning start in a 6-0 loss to the Rays. Tyler Phillips piggybacked Gusto in long relief in that game, but the Marlins could look to separate the two pitchers during this upcoming turn through the rotation. Gusto had been working as a more traditional starter at Triple-A prior to his call-up, turning in a 1.20 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB in 15 innings over his final three appearances for Jacksonville.

Lee went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

Lee recorded four singles Monday, scoring in the sixth and eighth innings. The 27-year-old outfielder has been scorching hot of late, batting .587 with 12 runs scored, five RBI and two stolen bases across 47 plate appearances in 11 outings since returning from the injured list. He's recorded a hit in 16 straight games dating back to May 14 and is now slashing .333/.367/.453 with 32 runs scored, 22 RBI, three home runs and two stolen bases in 240 plate appearances this season.

Kolek (personal) is listed as the Royals' probable starter for Tuesday's game against the Rangers in Kansas City.

Kansas City placed Kolek on the family medical emergency leave list Thursday, but the right-hander looks set to rejoin the Royals for the start of their series with the Rangers and won't have to miss a turn through the rotation. The Royals will make his activation official shortly before Tuesday's 7:40 p.m. ET start time.
