Lile is out of the lineup for Washington's matchup with the Angels on Friday.

With the Angels trotting out left-hander Yusei Kikuchi, Lile will ride the bench for Friday's series opener. The 23-year-old is currently in an 0-for-11 skid and has not reached base safely in his last three games. Dylan Crews will move over to left field and bat fifth for Washington.

Lee is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest against the Rockies.

It looks to be a routine day off for the rookie infielder. Javier Baez will cover second base for the Tigers while Lee rests.

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Washington's game against the Angels on Friday.

Despite launching a solo shot during Wednesday's affair with the Padres, Ruiz will sit out the series opener against the Angels. Harry Ford will catch balls and strikes while batting seventh for the Nationals.

Winn (thumb) will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Friday's game versus the White Sox.

Winn was scratched from the lineup for the Cardinals' last game Wednesday in San Francisco, just one day after he had returned from a left thumb fracture. He may continue to deal with some lingering soreness in the thumb the rest of the way, and the Cardinals plan to evaluate Winn's readiness on a day-to-day basis.

Caglianone (elbow) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game in Boston.

It will be the fifth straight game Caglianone has missed as he deals with a left flexor strain. The Royals have considered him day-to-day, but it's unclear when he will be ready to return to action. John Rave will get another start in right field Friday.

The Athletics designated Rashi for assignment Friday.

The transaction frees a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of waiver claim Hunter Bigge. Rashi was a waiver claim himself in August and has allowed five earned runs with a 5:3 K:BB over 5.2 frames between the Diamondbacks and Athletics this season.

The Athletics claimed Bigge off waivers from the Rays on Friday.

It's not a surprise that Bigge didn't make it through waivers after he collected a 2.51 ERA and 36:10 K:BB over 32.1 innings in his first two major-league seasons. He's regressed in 2026 with a 6.98 ERA and 14:14 K:BB over 19.1 innings with the Rays and a 6.14 ERA and 37:20 K:BB over 29.1 frames with Triple-A Durham. However, Bigge is under team control for several more seasons and could turn into a high-leverage reliever with some adjustments.

Rutschman (elbow) will start at catcher and bat third in Friday's game against the Royals.

Rutschman was administered a cortisone injection earlier this week to combat a hyperextended right elbow. He sat out the last two games to allow the shot to take effect, and now he's ready to roll. Rutschman is slashing .188/.253/.391 with four home runs in 19 games since joining the Red Sox.

The Mets recalled Weisenburger from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

He'll give the Mets a fresh bullpen arm for this weekend's Subway Series against the Yankees. Weisenburger has made three appearance for the Mets this season, allowing one run with a 4:2 K:BB over 4.1 frames. The 28-year-old has mainly been used as a starting pitcher in the minors this season, so he's capable of providing length.

The Mets designated Devenski for assignment Friday.

Devenski was knocked around for five runs while recording only one out in his last appearance Wednesday against the Marlins, and he's authored an 11.74 ERA in nine outings this season between the Pirates and Mets. Jack Weisenburger will grab Devenski's spot on the roster and in the bullpen.
