Bolte went 2-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Toronto.

Bolte didn't drive in any runs, but he recorded his seventh multi-hit effort over the past 16 games. During that stretch, the rookie is slashing .338/.434/.554 with three homers, six RBI, 13 runs and five stolen bases. Overall, Bolte is hitting .278/.359/.397 with nine homers, 32 RBI, 46 runs and 19 stolen bases across 103 contests.

Cortes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Cortes got the Athletics on the board with a solo blast to right field in the fourth inning. Dating back to Aug. 1, the outfielder has homered just twice while posting a .250/.294/.362 slash line with 12 RBI, five runs and a stolen base over 28 games. On the year, Cortes is hitting .261/.328/.405 with nine homers, 40 RBI, 28 runs and two stolen bases in 110 contests.

Lee is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Twins.

After making 17 straight starts, Lee has now been on the bench for two of three during the series versus the Twins. Gleyber Torres will be at second base, and Kevin McGonigle will play third base for the Tigers.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Astros.

The shortstop took Hayden Wesneski deep in the sixth inning as the Phillies tried to rally from an early 5-0 deficit, but they couldn't quite find an equalizer. Turner snapped a 24-game power drought with the blast, his 18th of the season, and over that stretch he slashed a meager .184/.266/.245 with one steal, five RBI and 10 runs. Despite his struggles in 2026, Turner still sits two home runs and two stolen bases away from his fourth career 20-20 campaign.

Baker (illness) retired the side on nine pitches during the ninth inning of Tuesday's 7-1 win over Atlanta.

Baker made an early exit in his most recent relief appearance during Friday's 7-6 win over the Rangers while he battled an illness, but he was able to quickly recover from the ailment. The Rays elected to break their top reliever back in in a low-pressure spot Tuesday, with Baker inducing two flyouts and a groundout to finish out the contest. Baker has been a revelation during his first season as a full-time closer, converting 39 of 42 save chances while pitching to a 1.61 ERA and 0.91 WHIP over 56 innings.

Jeffers is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Detroit.

Jeffers had started nine consecutive contests at catcher, so he's earned a day to rest during Wednesday's matinee. Victor Caratini will be behind the plate and will bat eighth in the rubber match.

Painter (3-9) took the loss Tuesday as the Phillies fell 6-5 to the Astros, coughing up five runs on 10 hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Four of the hits off the 23-year-old righty went for extra bases, including homers by Christian Walker in the second inning and Cam Smith in the fourth. The outing snapped Painter's quality start streak at three, and while he's still prone to rough nights, his overall results have been improving. Since the beginning of August, he's kept the ball in the yard in five of seven trips to the mound, delivering a 3.89 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 38:12 K:BB over 39.1 innings. Painter will look to shake this one off in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in Atlanta.

Carroll will be held out of the lineup again Wednesday in Kansas City and is scheduled to undergo imaging on his lower back Thursday when the Diamondbacks return home, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Carroll hasn't started a game since Sunday, though he did appear off the bench during Monday's game versus the Royals. The Diamondbacks are idle Thursday before beginning a homestand against the Rangers on Friday. Once the imaging results are in, more should be known about whether Carroll could return to action this weekend.

Smith-Shawver (0-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Rays after allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

Smith-Shawver immediately fell behind when Junior Caminero launched a 455-foot solo homer in the first inning, though Atlanta quickly tied the game. The right-hander's outing unraveled in the third, when Liam Hicks' two-run homer put Tampa Bay ahead for good before Victor Mesa added an RBI single. Smith-Shawver returned for the fourth but recorded only one out before being replaced by Brent Suter after a Yandy Diaz double, leaving Smith-Shawver with a 7.71 ERA through his first five starts of the season.

Wesneski (5-1) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up three runs on five hits over six innings in a 6-5 victory over the Phillies. He struck out three.

The right-hander carried a shutout into the sixth inning before fading, with a two-run homer by Trea Turner accounting for most of the damage off him, but Wesneski still held on for his fourth quality start of the year in his eighth trip to the mound. Since completing his recovery from Tommy John surgery and making his season debut in late July, Wesneski has produced a 3.35 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB over 45.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is set to come on the road this weekend in Tampa Bay.
