Canzone is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

With the Mariners facing off against a lefty starter (Kris Bubic) for the second time in the series, the left-handed-hitting Canzone will once again exit the starting nine. Rob Refsnyder will replace Canzone as the Mariners' designated hitter.

Cole (elbow) will make another minor-league rehab appearance with High-A Hudson Valley on Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Cole has so far completed three minor-league starts (one with Hudson Valley and two with Double-A Somerset) and has recorded a 5.02 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB through 14.1 innings. In his most recent outing, the veteran righty worked 5.2 frames and threw 60 pitches while sitting at 93-96 mph with his fastball. The Yankees haven't announced how many more rehab starts Cole will make, but it seems to be at least a possibility that if his outing Tuesday goes well, Cole's following start will be in an MLB contest.

The Angels selected Saucedo's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.

Saucedo joined the Halos on a minor-league deal in February and will get a look in the big leagues after giving up seven earned runs with a 15:11 K:BB over 14.2 innings with Salt Lake. The left-hander made 10 appearances for the Angels last season and had a 7.43 ERA across 13.1 frames.

Moncada is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The Angels will keep Moncada on the bench for the second straight matchup with a right-handed pitcher, as Oswald Peraza will get the nod at third base against Mets righty Clay Holmes in the series finale. Manager Kurt Suzuki hasn't indicated that Moncada is on shaky ground atop the depth chart, as the skipper may have just wanted to reward Peraza with another start after a three-hit effort in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win.

Frazier is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Frazier's grip on a strong-side platoon role at the keystone could be loosening, as he's on the bench for the second straight matchup versus a right-handed starter (Clay Holmes). Vaughn Grissom will receive another start at second base in place of Frazier after going 1-for-5 with two RBI in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win.

D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

D'Arnaud will get a breather for the series finale after he went 0-for-8 while starting behind the dish over the Angels' last three games. Sebastian Rivero will handle catching duties for the Halos on Sunday.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Luis Torrens will receive the nod behind the plate for the matinee contest while Alvarez rests. Alvarez made starts in the first two games of the series, going 2-for-9 with a run and an RBI.

Wagner (oblique) began a minor-league rehab stint with Triple-A El Paso on Friday and went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run in his first game.

Wagner landed on the injured list in late March due to a strained right oblique that caused him to miss most of the Padres' spring slate. It's unclear how long he'll be with El Paso, but given that he appeared in only five Cactus League contests and that San Diego doesn't have an immediate obvious opening on its roster, Wagner may be given plenty of time to ramp back up.

The Athletics optioned Morales to Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

After yielding five earned runs over two innings while tossing 64 pitches in Saturday's 14-6 loss to the Guardians, Morales was unlikely to be available out of the bullpen for at least the next couple of days. The Athletics will swap him off the active roster with a fresh arm in righty Tyler Ferguson, who was recalled from Las Vegas.

The Athletics recalled Ferguson from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.

He'll join the Athletics bullpen as a replacement for right-hander Luis Morales, who was optioned to Triple-A after giving up five earned runs in two innings during Saturday's 14-6 loss to the Guardians. Ferguson will be making his 2026 MLB debut if/when he gets into a game after seeing heavy usage for the Athletics last season. Over his 56 appearances for the big club in 2025, Ferguson turned in a 4.66 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 54:34 K:BB in 58 innings.
