Schwarber went 1-for-3 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and an additional run scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Mets.

Schwarber opened the scoring with a two-run blast off Sean Manaea in the first inning. The 33-year-old slugger has hit safely in seven of his past eight games, going deep three times while tallying six RBI and four runs scored during that stretch. On the season, Schwarber leads the majors with 33 homers to go along with a .935 OPS, 61 RBI, 59 runs scored and two steals across 423 plate appearances.

Eovaldi (illness) said Saturday that he is feeling significantly better, and the team believes he'll be ready to make his scheduled start Sunday against Atlanta, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Eovaldi picked up an illness during the All-Star break, but it no longer seems like he's at risk of missing any starts. The 36-year-old finished the first half by posting a 3.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 31 innings covering his last five starts, reaching nine strikeouts four times and also collecting four wins in that span.

Pena was removed from Saturday's game against the Orioles due to a right hamstring cramp.

Pena was removed from the third inning of Saturday's game after taking a swing at the plate. It's unclear whether his hamstring issue will prevent him from starting in Sunday's series finale. Nick Allen would likely start at shortstop if Pena is unable to play.

Turner went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and two additional runs scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Mets.

Turner sparked the Phillies' offense, reaching four times and tallying a homer and a steal in the same game for the third time this season. The shortstop has gone deep in consecutive contests since returning from the All-Star break after a disappointing first half. For the year, he's slashing .241/.290/.373 with 12 home runs, 35 RBI, 66 runs scored and 17 stolen bases across 424 plate appearances.

Young isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Young will retreat to the dugout Saturday after going 1-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and two runs scored during Friday's blowout victory. Daylen Lile, Dylan Crews and James Wood will start across the outfield while Young sits.

Mead isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Mead will get a chance to catch his breath after beginning the second half by going 4-for-6 with three doubles, three RBI and four runs scored during Friday's 23-4 rout. Jorbit Vivas will pick up a start at third base as a result and bat eighth.

Bolte isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.

Bolte will get a day off after collecting a single Friday to break what had been an 0-for-15 skid at the plate. While he rests, Tyler Soderstrom, Lawrence Butler and Carlos Cortes will start across the Athletics' outfield.

Luzardo (9-4) earned the win against the Mets on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over five innings.

Luzardo surrendered a solo homer during the second inning but otherwise kept the Mets off the board despite lacking his best stuff, throwing 54 of 90 pitches for strikes with 10 whiffs. The southpaw has yielded just seven earned runs over his past seven starts while going 5-0 with 63 punchouts during that stretch. He owns a 3.43 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 143:37 K:BB across 115.1 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Yankees next weekend.

Manaea (2-5) took the loss against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Manaea surrendered three of his four runs via the long ball, departing at 99 pitches without escaping the fifth inning. It marked the first time the 34-year-old had yielded more than three earned runs in seven turns since entering the rotation June 13, though he's now allowed two homers in three straight outings. He'll take a 4.74 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 81:26 K:BB across 79.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Dodgers next weekend.

The Tigers optioned Brieske to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday.

Brieske made four appearances after joining the Tigers' bullpen July 1, during which he gave up one run on three hits and no walks while striking out four batters in five innings. He now owns a 6.75 ERA through 9.1 major-league innings this year and remains an option to return as bullpen depth for the big club later in the season.
