Dalton Schultz hasn't been a good Fantasy tight end so far this season, but his outlook is about to change in Week 4 against Jacksonville. He's worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues and is one of my favorite sleepers.
Tank Dell (ribs) isn't expected to play against the Jaguars, which means Schultz will hopefully get more targets. And Jacksonville's defense is banged up, with standout linebacker Foye Oluokon (foot) ruled out.
Schultz has seven catches for 48 yards and no touchdowns on 11 targets in three games, and he's scored 4.6 PPR points or less in each outing against the Colts, Bears, and Vikings. He's had to contend with sharing the field with Dell, Nico Collins, and Stefon Diggs, so it's understandable C.J. Stroud hasn't leaned on Schultz much this season.
But now Dell is hurt, and Schultz should have the chance for a bigger role. In 2023, with Diggs not on the roster and Dell missing the final five games of the season with a broken leg, Schultz was a significant factor for the Texans and Fantasy managers.
Schultz had seven games with at least six targets last season, and he scored at least 11.1 PPR points in five of them. The Jaguars just allowed Dalton Kincaid to score 13.1 PPR points with three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 3, and hopefully, Schultz can do something similar.
The tight end position is a mess this season, and Trey McBride (concussion) is out for Week 4. Given the matchup and improved outlook for Schultz, he's worth using as a streaming option in all leagues for this week.

Week 4 Sleepers
Sleepers
Dalton looked amazing in his first start in place of Bryce Young in Week 3 at Las Vegas with 319 passing yards and three touchdowns. He should have a solid encore in Week 4 against the Bengals in a potential shootout with Joe Burrow. The projected score for this game is 48 points since neither defense is very good, and Cincinnati has allowed Patrick Mahomes and Jayden Daniels to each throw two touchdowns in the past two games. Dalton is more of a sleeper than a must-start quarterback, but I like him as a low-end No. 1 option in this matchup at home.

Fields went over 20 Fantasy points for the first time this season in Week 3 against the Chargers when he scored 20.4 points with 245 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception, along with six rushing yards and a touchdown. Hopefully, this is the start of him producing at a higher level instead of just being a game manager, and this is a great matchup against the Colts. Caleb Williams just had 363 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions against Indianapolis in Week 3. Malik Willis ran for 41 yards against the Colts in Week 2. And C.J. Stroud had 234 passing yards and two touchdowns against this defense in Week 1. Fields should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues.
| ||||||||||||||||||
Kyler Murray and Brock Purdy have abused the Rams defense in the past two games for a combined 558 yards, six touchdowns, and no interceptions, along with 15 carries for 100 yards. Williams just scored 21.3 Fantasy points in Week 3 at the Colts, and he should have the chance for another quality outing against the Rams at home. He's worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues.

Ford is expected to play despite dealing with a knee injury in practice this week, and he has a great matchup against Las Vegas. The Raiders are No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs, and Ford will hopefully perform like he did in Week 1 against Dallas when he scored 18.9 PPR points. Since then, he's combined for 17.4 PPR points against Jacksonville and the Giants, but this is a good matchup to get him back on track. Four running backs have scored at least 11 PPR points against Las Vegas this season, and the Raiders have allowed four total touchdowns to running backs in three games. Ford is worth using as a low-end starter or flex in all leagues.

Jaylen Warren (knee) has been ruled out for Week 4, which puts Patterson in a good spot to earn extra work behind Najee Harris in a favorable matchup against Indianapolis. Patterson just had four carries for 33 yards and three catches for 15 yards on five targets in Week 3 against the Chargers, and we know Arthur Smith likes using Patterson when possible. Harris should get the majority of carries for the Steelers, but Patterson could lead the backfield in receptions. And the Colts run defense isn't great, with three running backs already scoring at least 10.2 PPR points against Indianapolis this year. Patterson is worth using as a flex option in Week 4.
| ||||||||||||||||||
We'll see what happens with Kareem Hunt now that he's on the active roster, but it would be surprising if Steele didn't lead the Chiefs in carries again in Week 4. In Week 3 at Atlanta, in the first game without Isiah Pacheco (leg), Steele had 17 carries for 72 yards and one catch for 2 yards on two targets. The Chargers are banged up on both sides of the ball, so the Chiefs should be able to lean on Steele a lot in this matchup if things go as planned. And the Chargers have already allowed two running backs this season to score at least 13.6 PPR points.

Allen is doing a great job finding his spots for the Jets as the No. 2 running back behind Breece Hall. Allen has scored at least 9.8 PPR points in each of his last two games, with two touchdowns and five catches on seven targets over that span. I like him as a flex this week against the Broncos, who have allowed a pair of running backs to score at least 8.1 PPR points in every game this season against Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Tampa Bay. Even while Hall has been dominant this season, Allen is still able to help Fantasy managers in a secondary role.

Is this the game where we're going to see Irving take over the backfield from Rachaad White? It feels like it's coming since Irving has run better than White this season. Through three games, Irving has 25 carries for 154 yards (6.4 yards per carry), while White has 31 carries for 66 yards (2.1 yards per carry). White has still been solid in the passing game with 12 catches for 98 yards on 13 targets compared to five catches for 28 yards on six targets for Irving, and maybe Tampa Bay just turns White into a third-down back. I'm willing to take the chance on Irving as a flex, and maybe Week 4 is when he becomes the new starter for the Buccaneers.

This should be a good game script for Hill if the Bills and Ravens turns into a track meet, especially if Baltimore is chasing points. The expected point total for this game is 46.5, and I like Hill's role in the passing game against Buffalo. The Bills are No. 4 in most receptions allowed to running backs, and they've allowed at least 5.7 PPR points to three running backs this season on just receiving totals alone. Hill is a good flex option in PPR this week.
|
Davante Adams (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 4 against Cleveland, which puts Meyers in position to be a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. He should see an uptick in targets, and hopefully, he can produce like he did in Week 3 against Carolina when he had seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. Tre Tucker is also worth using as a flex option in deeper leagues, and last week, he had a breakout game with seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown on nine targets.
| ||||||||||||||||||
I'm expecting DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to have big games in Week 4 at Detroit, but Lockett can be considered a low-end starter in three-receiver leagues as well. He has two games this season with at least seven targets, and this is a favorable matchup against the Lions, who are No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. In two games at Detroit in each of the past two seasons, Lockett combined for 14 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown, and he scored at least 15.1 PPR points in each outing. While I like Metcalf and Smith-Njigba more, Lockett could be a surprise Fantasy option also, given the matchup.

Shakir made his case to be Buffalo's No. 1 receiver this season after his performance in Week 3 against Jacksonville with six catches for 72 yards and a touchdown on six targets. He has now caught all 14 of his targets this season, and he has two outings with at least 13.2 PPR points. This week, the Bills could be in a shootout with the Ravens, and Baltimore has already allowed five receivers to score at least 13.2 PPR points in three games. Shakir should be considered a borderline No. 2 receiver in all leagues.
| ||||||||||||||||||
Kirk ended his two-game slump in Week 3 at Buffalo with eight catches for 79 yards on 10 targets, and he did well against Houston last season. In two games against the Texans, Kirk had eight catches for 143 yards and a touchdown, and he scored at least 12.9 PPR points in each outing. Kirk should have the chance for another quality performance against Houston in Week 4, especially with Evan Engram (hamstring) again out. The Texans have already allowed four receivers to score at least 12.4 PPR points this season.
| ||||||||||||||||||
Mooney had three catches for 88 yards and a touchdown on seven targets at Philadelphia in Week 2, and he followed that up with eight catches for 66 yards on eight targets against Kansas City in Week 3. He will continue to be a staple in Atlanta's offense, and Mooney should be considered a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in Week 4 against the Saints. Three receivers in the past two games against New Orleans have scored at least 14.2 PPR points, which bodes well for Drake London and Mooney in this matchup.
| ||||||||||||||||||
Jeudy took a backseat to Amari Cooper in Week 3 against the Giants and finished with just four catches for 27 yards on seven targets, but prior to that, he scored at least 11.5 PPR points in each of his first two games. I like him as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in Week 4 against the Raiders, who have already allowed four receivers to score at least 13 PPR points this season.
| ||||||||||||||||||
Trey McBride (concussion) is out this week, which makes Wilson and potentially Greg Dortch viable Fantasy options against Washington. Wilson just had eight catches for 64 yards on nine targets in Week 3 against Detroit, and Washington is No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Dortch hasn't done much since Week 1, when he had six catches for 47 yards on eight targets at Buffalo, but he could be an option in deeper PPR leagues with McBride out.
|
Conklin had a breakout game in Week 3 against New England with five catches for 93 yards on six targets, and he could build off that performance in Week 4 against the Broncos. Garrett Wilson will likely struggle in a tough matchup against Patrick Surtain, and Aaron Rodgers could once again lean on Conklin. He's worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues.
| ||||||||||||||||||
Gesicki remained relevant in Week 3 against Washington despite Tee Higgins making his 2024 debut with four catches for 47 yards on five targets. This week, he's facing a Carolina defense that is the only team to allow multiple touchdowns to tight ends this year. Gesicki should be considered a low-end starting option in all leagues.
