The Chargers are expected to waive Duggan, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Duggan was selected by the Chargers in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2 quarterback played collegiately at TCU and is known for his standout athleticism. He recorded a 4.52-second 40 at the combine. However, he will now hit waivers, as he was unable to beat out Easton Stick for backup duties behind Justin Herbert. Should he clear waivers, which is not a given, he is a strong candidate to join L.A.'s practice squad.

Wolford is expected to be released by the Buccaneers, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask competing for the starting job under center, Wolford was always expected to be the odd-man out. However, given his familiarity with the playbook, he will be a strong candidate to land on the team's practice squad. The 27-year-old spent his first three seasons with the Rams.

Head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that he doesn't foresee Huntley (hamstring) going on injured reserve, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

This is a positive update for the backup quarterback, but it remains unclear when he'll be healthy again. Huntley tweaked his hamstring during the Ravens' preseason opener and hasn't practiced or played since. Josh Johnson and Anthony Brown are also on the roster, but if the Ravens are content with Huntley's health, they may cut the other two backups ahead of the 53-man roster deadline Tuesday.

Blackman was waived by the Dolphins on Monday.

This marks the second time Blackman has been waived by the Dolphins since signing with them as an undrafted free agent. With Mike White and Skylar Thompson locked in behind Tua Tagovailoa under center, this was always the likely outcome. It remains to be seen if the team will offer him a role on the practice squad. The Arkansas product completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 2,471 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions during his final collegiate season.

Tune, a rookie fifth-round pick, may be likelier to open the season as Dobbs' backup, though he has benefited from extensive preseason reps. McCoy's release coincides with the news that Kyler Murray (knee) is expected to begin the regular season on the reserve/PUP list, meaning the Cardinals will need either Dobbs or Tune, if not a combination of the two, to hold down the fort under center for at least the first four weeks of the year. The team also has David Blough and Jeff Driskel (calf) on the roster, although further cuts could be forthcoming.

The Cardinals remain quiet regarding Murray's expected return date, so the combination of Dobbs and Tune could remain atop the depth chart beyond the first month of the season.

Ta'amu was waived by the Vikings on Monday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Ta'amu joined the team a week ago hoping to build on his momentum from a successful XFL season. However, he was unable to move past Jaren Hall and Nick Mullens to earn a backup role behind starter Kirk Cousins.

The Cardinals will release McCoy on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The Cardinals are left with Joshua Dobbs, Clayton Tune and David Blough as options to start Week 1 at Washington, as McCoy is no longer on the team and Kyler Murray (knee) is expected to be kept ineligible on the reserve/PUP list for at least the first four games. Schefter suggests Dobbs, a recent trade acquisition, is the favorite to start Week 1. McCoy, meanwhile, will turn 37 the first week of September and may struggle to find a backup quarterback job elsewhere.

Coach Mike Vrabel said Monday he expects Levis (thigh) to resume practicing this week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Vrabel said the rookie second-round pick has done a good job maintaining focus despite sitting out Friday's preseason finale against the Patriots. Levis has spent the summer competing with Malik Willis for the No. 2 quarterback gig behind Ryan Tannehill.
