  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Registers 36 saves in loss

Binnington made 36 saves on the 39 shots he saw in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers.

Binnington tended a scoreless first period before the Oilers scored once in the second and two times in the final six minutes of Tuesday's game. The 31-year-old goaltender has a 14-19-4 record with a 2.83 GAA and a .899 save percentage across 38 outings this season. Binnington's save percentage is up from his season average over his past eight appearances. However, he has not yet built a winning streak in the new year. Consider the veteran a serviceable option in fantasy with a low ceiling due to the Blues' struggles as a team. His next opportunity to tend the twine is Thursday against the Panthers.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Makes 20 saves in win

Skinner stopped 20 shots on 22 total attempts in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win against the Blues.

Despite a four-minute stretch in the third period where he allowed two goals, Skinner shut down St. Louis for the first two periods and overtime. The 26-year-old netminder now holds a 20-12-4 record with a .902 save percentage and a 2.68 GAA. Edmonton is hitting its stride as a team, winning 12 of their last 17 games. However, Tuesday's victory was only Skinner's third win in his previous seven outings. Due to his inconsistencies, he is a mid-level starter in fantasy hockey with high upside if Edmonton's momentum continues.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: In goal Wednesday

Soderblom will get the starting nod at home versus Edmonton on Wednesday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Soderblom has just one victory in his last six appearances, going 1-3-2 with a 3.33 GAA over that stretch. Still, the 25-year-old netminder will be making his third appearance in the Blackhawks' last four outings, suggesting he will be given an extended look down the stretch ahead of Petr Mrazek. Still, Chicago heads into the international break with a back-to-back against the Predators and Blues on Friday and Saturday, respectively, so fantasy managers can expect the duo to split the workload.

  • Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Falls to Devils in shootout

Nedeljkovic turned aside 19 of 21 shots in regulation and overtime and four of seven shootout attempts in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to New Jersey.

The Devils grabbed a 2-0 lead midway through the second period on Jack Hughes' second goal of the night, but Nedeljkovic was able to shut the door the rest of the way and give the Penguins a chance to force extra time. The 29-year-old goalie found less success in the shootout however, eventually getting beaten glove-side by Timo Meier in the seventh round to end it. Nedeljkovic appears to have a firm grasp of the starting job in the Pittsburgh crease right now, allowing two goals or less in six of seven starts since Jan. 17 and going 4-2-1 with a 1.84 GAA and .936 save percentage.

  • Devils' Nico Daws: Escapes with shootout win Tuesday

Daws stopped 25 shots in regulation and overtime and five of seven shootout attempts in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Penguins.

The Devils took a 2-0 lead midway through the second period on Jack Hughes' second goal of the night, but Daws saw the lead slip away before the end of regulation. The 24-year-old netminder was then able to outduel Alex Nedeljkovic in the shootout to pick up his first NHL win of the season. New Jersey plays twice more before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, at home Thursday against the Golden Knights and then Saturday in Montreal, but Jake Allen seems likely to get the nod in both those games. With Jacob Markstrom (knee) not expected back until at least early March, Daws may have to wait until after the break before he gets another start for the Devils.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Blanks Wild for third shutout

Swayman made 35 saves in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Minnesota.

The 26-year-old netminder recorded his third shutout of the season, and his first since Dec. 28. Swayman continues to struggle with his consistency, and the pressure of living up to the big contract extension he signed right before the season started could still be weighing him down. Through 12 outings since the beginning of January, he's gone 5-6-1 with a 3.07 GAA and .910 save percentage.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Gets no help in Tuesday's loss

Fleury turned aside 32 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to the Bruins, with Boston's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

The veteran netminder kept the Bruins off the board in the first period, but Charlie McAvoy tipped a puck past Fleury early in the second, and the Wild were never able to solve Jeremy Swayman in the other crease. Fleury has been mostly sharp since the beginning of January, going 5-3-0 in eight outings with a 2.24 GAA and .926 save percentage as Filip Gustavsson has struggled to find his form.

  • James Reimer G | OTT

Sabres' James Reimer: Returns to win column Tuesday

Reimer stopped 27 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

The veteran netminder came up with some huge saves to secure his first win since Nov. 23. Reimer hasn't played poorly since being acquired by the Sabres despite the lack of success, posting a 2.55 GAA and .908 save percentage in nine outings for the club but only coming away with a 2-4-1 record in that time. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed) was unavailable Tuesday, but with Buffalo off until Saturday, Reimer may not get an opportunity to follow up this performance until after the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Set to start Wednesday

Shesterkin is set to start at home against the Bruins on Wednesday, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic.

Shesterkin has struggled recently, dropping his past three starts while allowing 14 goals on 72 shots (.806 save percentage). He's 17-18-2 with a 2.89 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 37 outings this campaign. Boston ranks 25th in goals per game with 2.76.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Stuck with loss to Sabres

Merzlikins made 18 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Buffalo.

He had little chance on any of the pucks that got past him, including two second-period tip-ins by Alex Tuch, and the final score might have looked a lot worse if not for Merzlikins. Since the beginning of January, the 30-year-old netminder has gone 7-4-0 in 11 outings with a 2.73 GAA and .902 save percentage, and he seems to have a secure hold on the top job in the Columbus crease.
