  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Puts away goal in win

Minten scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Jets.

Minten has two goals over his last five games. While he's not generating a lot of offense, he has been on a line with David Pastrnak lately, which gives Minten some potential. For the season, the 21-year-old Minten is at 16 goals, 31 points, 97 shots on net, 124 hits, 45 blocked shots and a plus-22 rating over 69 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Tending twine Friday

Blackwood will guard the visiting cage in Chicago on Friday, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

Blackwood has struggled of late, going 0-2-0 in his last four appearances, allowing 14 goals on just 68 shots (.794 save percentage). Blackwood is 18-8-1 with a 2.48 GAA and a .904 save percentage over 29 appearances this season. The Blackhawks have managed 2.60 goals per game this season, tied for 29th in the NHL.

  • Ross Colton C | COL

    Avalanche's Ross Colton: Shelved again

Colton (upper body) will remain out of the lineup versus the Blackhawks on Friday, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

Colton will be out of action for his fifth straight game due to his upper-body issue. The 29-year-old winger has managed just one goal in his last 10 outings, and he figures to remain a low-end fantasy target even once cleared to return.

  • Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Set to remain out versus Cats

Kuznetsov (upper body) is expected to continue to miss out versus Florida on Friday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Kuznetsov will be out of action for his third straight game due to his upper-body problem. The blueliner is mired in an 18-game goal drought during which he has recorded just 23 shots and three assists. Given his offensive limitations, Kuznetsov's absence is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy players.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Not slated to play Friday

Gostisbehere (lower body) isn't expected to play in Friday's game against the Maple Leafs, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Gostisbehere didn't participate in Friday's morning skate, signaling that he'll miss a seventh consecutive game due to his lower-body injury. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but his next chance to do so will be Sunday against Pittsburgh.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Facing Maple Leafs

Bussi will patrol the visiting crease in Toronto on Friday, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Bussi will look to snap a three-game losing streak, the first time this season he has lost more than one in a row. Bussi is 25-6-1 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.45 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 32 contests in 2025-26. The Maple Leafs are tied for 16th in NHL scoring, averaging 3.12 goals per game, but will be without the services of Auston Matthews, who underwent MCL surgery Thursday and is done for the remainder of the season.

  • Dylan Garand G | NYR

Rangers' Dylan Garand: Summoned from AHL

Garand was called up from AHL Hartford on Friday.

There is no word at this time if either Igor Shesterkin or Jonathan Quick is injured or sick. The Rangers do not play again until Sunday, so the move could easily be that Garand will get in a little practice time with the Rangers, giving Shesterkin and Quick some time off. Garand had a 16-15-2 record with a 2.83 GAA and an .896 save percentage across 36 games with AHL Hartford before his recall.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Between pipes Friday

Wolf will patrol the home crease versus Florida on Friday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Wolf has allowed four goals in each of his last five starts. He stopped 111 of 131 shots (.847 save percentage) in those games. Overall, the 24-year-old is 19-25-3 with a 3.02 GAA and an .896 save percentage over 49 appearances this season. The Panthers will be a tired team, as they knocked off the Oilers in Edmonton to the tune of 4-0 on Thursday.

  • Mammoth's Michael Carcone: Inks two-year contract extension

Carcone signed a two-year, $3.5 million contract extension with the Mammoth on Friday.

Carcond has been productive for the Mammoth this year, recording 14 goals, 12 assists, 117 hits, 20 PIM and 16 blocked shots while averaging 12:25 of ice time. He's spent the first five years of his career with the organization and will now remain under contract with Utah through the 2027-28 campaign.

  • Brady Tkachuk LW | OTT

Senators' Brady Tkachuk: Pots winner against Isles

Tkachuk scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Islanders.

With just 13 seconds left in regulation, Tkachuk pounced on a loose puck in the New York crease and jammed it home. It was the third GWG of the season for the 26-year-old winger in his 48th game, and despite missing most of October and November due to thumb surgery, he sits one goal shy of reaching 20 for the seventh time in eight NHL seasons, with the lone exception being the COVID season of 2020-21.
