Gimenez isn't starting the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts during the first game in the twin bill, and he'll get a breather for the nightcap. Owen Miller will start at the keystone while Yu Chang takes over at shortstop.

Arauz (illness) was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list and optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.

Arauz landed on the COVID-19 IL nearly two weeks ago, but he's now back to full health. The 23-year-old was initially sent down before his placement on the IL, so it's not surprising to see him head to Worcester. The infielder has slashed .234/.318/.356 with six home runs, 28 RBI, 27 runs and two stolen bases across 61 minor-league appearances this season.

Lux will bat eighth and play center field against the Rockies on Thursday.

With Cody Bellinger (ribs) on the injured list and Chris Taylor sidelined by a neck issue, the Dodgers have elected to give Lux his first major-league action in center Thursday at Coors Field. AJ Pollock is also starting in the outfield for the first time in over two weeks, but manager Dave Roberts stated that he wants to keep Pollock out of center field for the time being due to his recent hamstring injury, per Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times. Though Lux's natural position is in the infield, his ability to play the outfield could help keep his hot bat in the lineup on a near-everyday basis. Since rejoining the Dodgers on Sept. 10, Lux is slashing .438/.514/.656 with a home run, nine RBI and nine runs in 10 games.

Kemp isn't starting Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Kemp has gone 0-for-12 with two runs and five walks across his last six appearances, and he'll head to the bench for the third time in the last four contests. Mark Canha will shift to left field while Chad Pinder starts in right.

Marte isn't starting Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Marte had started each of the last five games, and he hit .350 with four doubles, two runs and an RBI during that time. Jake McCarthy will start in center field and bat eighth.

Rodgers went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run Wednesday in the Rockies' 10-5 win over the Dodgers.

Rodgers extended his hit streak to eight games, and he's slashing .389/.405/.750 with four home runs and eight RBI over that stretch. Since the All-Star break, the 25-year-old second baseman's .305 batting average places him in the top 30 of all players with at least 150 plate appearances.

Albies went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Albies had a sacrifice fly in the first to give Atlanta a quick 1-0 lead and then later followed up a double by Freddie Freeman with a two-run homer in the fifth to extend the lead to 6-1. The long ball was his 30th of the year and put him at 100 RBI for the season as he became the first-ever Atlanta second baseman to hit 30 long balls in a season. Albies does have seven home runs this month but is slashing just .230/.263/.527 with 14 RBI, 12 runs scored and 4:16 BB:K over 17 games.

Altuve went 1-for-5 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBI in a 9-5 victory versus the Angels on Wednesday.

Altuve was hitless through his first five plate appearances before he came through with a clutch two-run double in the 12th inning that helped lead the Astros to an extra-innings win. The second baseman has collected multiple RBI in two straight games and in three of his past five contests. During his current 10-game hitting streak, he is slashing .350/.435/.600 with two homers, eight RBI, six walks, a stolen base and 14 runs.

Hoerner went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Twins.

In his third game back from the injured list, Hoerner delivered his first multi-hit performance since the end of July. The young infielder has only been able to play in 42 games this season due to a handful of injuries, but he's shown promise with his .310 batting average. A strong finish to the season could give Hoerner a boost heading into 2022, and if he's able to stay healthy, he could end up as a strong fantasy contributor over a larger slate of games.

Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo homer run in a 7-5 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Garcia strung together his third consecutive two-hit performance, including a homer off Miami starter Elieser Hernandez in the fourth inning that extended Washington's lead to 4-0. Garcia is hitting .286 with 12 extra-base hits over 77 at-bats in September, and he's driven in a run in four straight games.
