Marte went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a strikeout in an 8-4 loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Marte was the only Diamondback to find success Tuesday; he singled in the fourth and sixth innings before launching a three-run home run in the seventh to bring Arizona within two runs. The three hits matched Marte's total from the prior six games combined, though the long ball was his sixth in his last 19 games.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.

The second baseman returned to the lineup after missing the last two contests with leg soreness and took reliever Tim Mayza deep in the eighth inning. Lowe has been red-hot in his last seven contests, batting .435 with three home runs and seven RBI.

Arroyo (illness) is working out with Triple-A Worcester and is expected to begin a rehab assignment within the next couple days, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Arroyo has been sidelined since testing positive for COVID-19 in late August, but he was cleared to rejoin the team for workouts last week and is close to being activated. The 26-year-old is expected to fill a depth role upon his activation, which should occur after he appears in a few rehab games with Worcester.

Gimenez is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins.

The infielder went 0-for-2 in Game 1, lowering his batting average to .190 on the season. Owen Miller replaces him at second base and will bat seventh Tuesday night.

Arraez is not starting Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against Cleveland.

He went hitless across three at-bats during the matinee portion of the twin bill. Willians Astudillo draws the start at the hot corner for the nightcap.

Lowe (leg) is back in the starting lineup Tuesday against Toronto, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lowe missed the previous two contests with what manager Kevin Cash described as "beat up" legs. He appears to feel better Tuesday as he'll return to the keystone and bat leadoff against Jose Berrios.

Mendick was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Mendick gave the White Sox additional infield depth while Tim Anderson was out with a hamstring injury. With Anderson returning from the injured list Tuesday, Mendick is no longer needed and will head back to the minors.

Polanco went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Monday's loss to the Yankees.

The shortstop took Luis Gil deep in the first inning, driving in teammate Luis Arraez. It was his third home run in as many days as he went yard twice Saturday. His 30 home runs, 88 RBI and .519 SLG are all career highs.

Dubon was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

Dubon spent nine days on the roster in his last major-league stint, going 5-for-14 at the plate. He'll make way for Jose Quintana, who returns from the paternity list in a corresponding move.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Lowe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays due to his legs being "beat up," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Lowe will still be available off the bench in a pinch-hitting capacity.

The minor leg injury explains why the lefty-hitting Lowe is on the bench for the series opener in Toronto even with a right-hander (Alek Manoah) on the mound for the opposition. Assuming he's feeling better when he reports to the ballpark Tuesday, Lowe should check back into the Tampa Bay lineup as the Rays take on Toronto right-hander Jose Berrios.
