Arraez will travel to Philadelphia on Monday and is expected to be formally activated by the Phillies ahead of Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

The Phillies acquired Arraez and right-hander Caleb Kilian from the Giants earlier Monday, sending back minor-league right-handers Ramon Marquez and Marty Gair to San Francisco in the deal. A four-time All-Star and three-time batting champion, Arraez is expected to settle into an everyday role at second base upon joining the team, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Bryson Stott has been serving as the Phillies' primary option at the keystone this season, but he's likely to move to third base to accommodate Arraez. Meanwhile, Alec Bohm is expected to shift across the diamond to first base, which would shift Bryce Harper into a regular role in right field for the first time since April 2022.

The Blue Jays acquired Smith and right-hander Josh Stephan from the Rangers on Monday in exchange for left-hander Adam Macko, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Smith was sent to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday after the Rangers had been prioritizing Ezequiel Duran and Nicky Lopez ahead of him as utility options, but the versatile 28-year-old should have a better chance at earning a larger role in Toronto. Though he's mustered a lowly .571 OPS in 154 plate appearances at the big-league level in 2026, the left-handed-hitting Smith has held his own against right-handed pitching over parts of five seasons in the majors, slashing .239/.330/.355 (98 wRC+) across 470 contests. Smith, who is under club control through 2028, will join the big club in Houston ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Astros.

The Guardians designated Brito for assignment Monday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

A spot on the 40-man roster needed to be freed for the arrival of Jo Adell. Brito posted just a .505 OPS in 15 games for the Guardians earlier this season and has slashed just .237/.351/.394 with nine homers this year at Triple-A Columbus. However, Brito is only 24 and boasts a career .373 on-base percentage in the minors. There will likely be interest in the infielder on waivers.

Nunez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

His line in the box score wasn't overly impressive, but Nunez's theft after a second-inning single was his 40th of the season, making him the first player in the majors this season to reach that mark. The 25-year-old switch hitter is running away with the stolen-base crown, as he's 10 steals clear of second-place Jazz Chisholm and Bobby Witt (back). On the year, Nunez has managed a .240/.321/.281 slash line with one homer, 31 RBI and 46 runs in 104 contests.

Voit has gone 11-for-22 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, three steals in three attempts, five RBI, 10 runs and a 5:3 BB:K through his first six games for Double-A Binghamton.

The 21-year-old began the season with High-A Brooklyn, and after a slow start to the campaign he put together a .795 OPS with five homers and 22 steals over 37 games since the beginning of June to earn a promotion. A two-way player in college, Voit has had some adjustments to make in the pros while focusing on his hitting, but his skills are developing quickly, and if he continues to have his way with pitchers in the high minors, a 2027 big-league debut could be on the table. Voit has spent most of his time on defense this season at shortstop, but his long-term future could be at second base.

The Phillies could look to move Stott to third base after acquiring second baseman Luis Arraez from the Giants on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Arraez played primarily at first base and designated hitter over the previous two seasons, but he's fared well defensively while transitioning back to a full-time role at second base for the Giants in 2026 and is expected to stick at that position in Philadelphia. The arrival of Arraez will leave fewer reps available for Stott at the keystone, but the Phillies would be able to keep the latter's bat in the lineup by moving him to third base. Alec Bohm would then shift across the diamond to first base to accommodate Stott, while Bryce Harper could settle into an everyday role in right field, where the Phillies have been leaning on a combination of Bryan De La Cruz and Gabriel Rincones of late. The Phillies may still add or subtract from their position-player group leading up to Monday's trade deadline, so a move to third base is hardly locked in for Stott at this stage.

Arraez had mainly been limited to first base and designated hitter the previous two seasons, but he's transitioned back to an everyday role at second base in 2026 and has made tremendous strides as a defender after receiving poor marks for his fielding and range at the keystone earlier in his career. The 29-year-old will presumably continue to see most of his reps at second base in Philadelphia, where he'll unseat Bryson Stott as the primary option at the position. In order to accommodate Arraez while still keeping playing time open for their other established regulars, the Phillies could look to move Stott, Alec Bohm and/or Bryce Harper to different positions.

Bazzana went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-0 win over Arizona.

Bazzana, who limped into the All-Star break with a .193 average and .282 on-base percentage since June 1, has bounced back in the second half. The rookie is 16-for-58 (.276) with 10 walks (.391 OBP) and three steals in the 16 games since returning from the break. Sunday's theft was number 16 (in 20 attempts) for Bazzana, second on the Guardians.

Meidroth went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Rays.

Meidroth had a slow start to the White Sox's weekend series against the Rays, but he was productive in the team's blowout win Sunday. He's gotten on base at a .389 clip in 15 games since the All-Star break, also scoring 10 runs with nine RBI in that span.

Torres went 1-for-2 with four walks, two RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 11-0 win over the Athletics.

Torres was on base regularly Sunday as he set a new season high in walks. The veteran second baseman put together the strong performance on the heels of hitting his sixth home run of the season Saturday. Torres is a steady offensive contributor with a good eye at the plate, and his current .389 on-base percentage would represent a new career best. His ability to get on base at a good clip should allow him to score plenty of runs moving forward and elevate his overall fantasy value.
