Norby is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Rays.

Norby has now started just four of eight games since his promotion from Triple-A Norfolk, including only two of the previous six contests. The Marlins optioned Edwards to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Activated from paternity leave

The Marlins activated Lopez (personal) from the paternity list Monday.

He now has eight multi-hit efforts over his last 18 games and continues to be one of the most consistent hitters in the Angels' lineup. Altuve went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Angels.

Altuve's big hit of the day came with two outs in the sixth to cap off a four-run rally that put the Astros ahead 7-4. It was his first time with four hits in a game since Sept. 4, 2023, and it was his eighth time this year with three or more hits in a game. Altuve is now tied for fourth in the majors with 80 hits on the year and is putting together another strong campaign at the dish. He's slashing .297/.348/.454 with 10 homers, 25 RBI, 39 runs and an 18:53 BB:K in 290 plate appearances.

Amador went 1-for-3 with a stolen base Sunday against the Cardinals.

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Swipes bag in return

Marte went 1-for-4 with a walk, a steal and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Padres.

Marte was back in Sunday's lineup after being scratched Saturday due to back soreness. His back didn't appear to hinder him, as he picked up just his second steal of the season after walking to leadoff the fourth. Marte has been scorching hot at the plate in June, slashing .462/.548/.846 with three homers, six RBI, six runs and a 4:5 BB:K over his last seven games.

Despite the three base hits, Lux was unable to drive anyone home and remains with just one RBI since May 19. He also hasn't homered since May 7 and has just four extra-base hits since May 22. The 26-year-old is still looking to find some more consistency at the dish, and is now slashing .216/.268/.292 with 13 RBI, 18 runs and a 12:40 BB:K in 183 plate appearances.

  • Jorge Mateo SS | ATL

Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Tuesday return possible

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Mateo (concussion) won't be reinstated from the 7-day injured list when first eligible Monday but could be activated Tuesday, Jake Rill of MLB.comreports.

The 28-year-old suffered the concussion June 2 against Tampa Bay and was able to ramp up his baseball work this weekend. Mateo won't be ready after spending the 7-day minimum on the shelf, but it appears his absence won't extend much beyond that.
