Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Remains out Tuesday
Gimenez (leg) isn't starting Tuesday against the Padres.
Gimenez was removed from Sunday's contest due to left leg tightness, and the issue is apparently still severe enough to hold him out of Tuesday's game. Tyler Freeman will take Gimenez's spot at second base and bat sixth.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Not in lineup Tuesday
Marte is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies.
Josh Rojas will cover second base and bat seventh versus the Phillies and right-hander Zack Wheeler. This looks to be a routine night off for Marte, who tallied three hits and three runs scored in the Diamondbacks' series-opening victory Monday.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Will play less at shorstop
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Tuesday that Hernandez would play less shortstop going forward and primarily play at second base and in center field, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
After beginning the year with a .652 OPS through 243 plate appearances, Hernandez seems to have officially lost the primary shortstop gig to Pablo Reyes. Hernandez will now slip into a utility role while splitting reps with Christian Arroyo at second base and Adam Duvall in center field.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Angels' Brandon Drury: Suspended one game
Drury was suspended one game by Major League Baseball for making contact with an umpire during Monday's game versus the Rangers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Drury is appealing the suspension and is in the lineup Tuesday, playing first base and batting third. The 30-year-old has put up a .771 OPS with 10 home runs and 30 RBI over 61 contests for the Angels this season.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Out against lefty
Massey isn't starting Tuesday against the Reds, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
Southpaw Brandon Williamson will take the mound for Cincinnati to begin Tuesday's contest, meaning the left-handed bat of Massey will start off in the dugout. Matt Duffy will take over at second base and bat seventh.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Sitting Tuesday
Hernandez isn't in the lineup Tuesday against Colorado, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Hernandez is slashing .231/.259/.385 over the past seven days and will get a rare day off Tuesday. Pablo Reyes will take over as Boston's shortstop while batting ninth.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Doubles twice in loss
Massey went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles Monday in the Royals' 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Reds.
Massey put an end to a nine-game stretch in which he failed to produce an extra-base hit while going 3-for-29 overall. Though Massey has seen his OPS drop 87 points from 2022 (.683 to .596), the 25-year-old still looks to be fairly secure in a near-everyday role either at second base or designated hitter.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Launches homer in loss
Arroyo went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Rockies.
Arroyo gave the Red Sox a 2-1 lead in the seventh with his second homer of the season, but the relief corps and poor defense let the Red Sox down. He's started five of the eight games since being activated off the injured list.

Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM
Tigers' Andy Ibanez: Goes deep Monday
Ibanez went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, a double, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's win against Atlanta.
Ibanez finally put the Tigers on the board with his solo shot in the seventh inning. He produced three hits in a game for the first time since May 3 but still owns an unsightly .202/.239/.375 slash line. Ibanez has 11 extra-base hits (three home runs) and 12 runs scored through 109 plate appearances.
