  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Effective in return

Estrada went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk and one RBI in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Rockies.

Estrada spent the minimum 10 days on the injured list with a wrist issue, and he was one of many effective hitters for the Giants on Tuesday. He hit safely in nine of his 10 games prior to his IL stint, so it's a positive to see him pick up where he left off with his sixth game of three or more hits this year. For the season, the second baseman is slashing .308/.354/.480 with six home runs, 13 stolen bases, 18 RBI, 30 runs scored and 14 doubles through 48 contests. He should be able to reclaim an everyday role.

  • Jose Caballero 2B | NYY

    Mariners' Jose Caballero: Sitting Tuesday

Caballero isn't in the Mariners' lineup Tuesday against the Padres, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Caballero went 3-for-9 with two RBI and a run scored during Seattle's last series against Texas. He'll get a day off Tuesday while Kolten Wong takes over at second base and bats ninth.

  • Brett Wisely 2B | ATL

Giants' Brett Wisely: Optioned to Triple-A

Wisely was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Wisely will head back to Sacramento after Thairo Estrada (wrist) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday. Wisely appeared in 24 games after being called up from Triple-A on May 1, producing a .231 average with two homers, four doubles, six RBI, five runs and two stolen bases over 65 at-bats over those contests. The 24-year-old has the ability to play both in the infield and outfield and will likely return to the major-league roster again later this summer.

  • Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL

Giants' Thairo Estrada: Back from IL

Estrada (wrist) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

As expected, Estrada will join the Giants in Colorado on Tuesday ahead of their three-game series with the Rockies, returning to the major-league roster following a minimum stay on the 10-day IL. The 27-year-old has produced a career-best .301 average while adding six homers, 17 RBI, 30 runs scored and 13 stolen bases over 193 at-bats in 47 contests with San Francisco this year. Estrada will replace Brett Wisely on the major-league roster after Wisely was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, and he should return to his regular role at the keystone.

  • Sam Haggerty LF | TEX

Mariners' Sam Haggerty: Optioned to Triple-A

Haggerty was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

Haggerty will head to Triple-A for the first time this season after he produced a .190 batting average with two doubles, two RBI, six runs scored and four stolen bases over 42 at-bats in 24 games with Seattle this season. Considering he struggled to find consistent playing time in the big-league lineup, the 29-year-old could certainly benefit from some extra reps with Tacoma. Haggerty can play every position besides catcher, so he has a strong chance to return to Seattle at some point this summer due to his positional flexibility.

  • Owen Miller 2B | CHC

Brewers' Owen Miller: On bench Tuesday

Miller is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Orioles.

Luis Urias will play second base and Abraham Toro will cover third versus the O's and right-hander Kyle Gibson. Miller has gone 5-for-21 (.238) with no extra-base hits so far in June, though he still owns a strong .824 OPS on the year.

  • Amed Rosario SS | NYY

Guardians' Amed Rosario: Remains sidelined Tuesday

Rosario (knee) isn't starting Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Rosario will now miss a second consecutive start following his removal from Saturday's game against the Twins due to left knee soreness. While Rosario continues to recover, Gabriel Arias will take his place at shortstop and bat second.

  • Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM

Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Out of lineup Tuesday

Bae is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Athletics.

Bae tallied his 18th stolen base of the season in Monday's series opener versus the A's, but he'll grab some pine Tuesday with Jack Suwinski starting in center field and Rodolfo Castro covering second base.

  • Rockies' Harold Castro: On bench Tuesday

Castro is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

Alan Trejo will start at second base and bat eighth for the Rockies as the Giants try a bullpen game featuring opener John Brebbia. Castro should be an option off the bench.

  • Jose Altuve 2B | HOU

Astros' Jose Altuve: Not starting Tuesday

Altuve (oblique) isn't starting Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said Monday that Altuve isn't expected to return to the lineup until Wednesday, so it's not much of a surprise to see the star second baseman on the bench again Tuesday. While Altuve continues to heal, Mauricio Dubon will fill in at the keystone and lead off Houston's lineup.
