  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Awarded fourth straight start

Rojas will start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Reds.

After he reached base in all four of his plate appearances and scored two runs to go with a stolen base in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Boston, Rojas will draw his fourth straight start at his third different position. He'll be filling in at the hot corner Monday for a resting Tommy Edman.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Idle for series opener

Edman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

Edman will get a breather for the series opener in Cincinnati after he started in each of the past four games. Miguel Rojas will check in for Edman at third base and will bat eighth.

  • Hye Seong Kim 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Hyeseong Kim: Rejoining starting nine

Kim (shoulder) will start at second base and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Reds.

Kim was held out of the lineup for Sunday's 4-3 loss to Boston due to a left shoulder injury he sustained a night earlier, but he felt well enough to serve as a pinch runner and defensive replacement late in the contest. He reported to the park Monday no worse for the wear, so Kim will take back a spot in the starting nine as the Dodgers open a three-game set in Cincinnati.

  • Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Losing work vs. RHPs

Alexander is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

The right-handed-hitting Alexander started in seven consecutive games from July 13 through last Wednesday, but he'll likely be relegated to a short-side platoon role moving forward. He'll hit the bench Monday for the third time in the last four games, with his lone start during that stretch coming Saturday against Pirates southpaw Andrew Heaney.

  • Yankees' Braden Shewmake: Healthy again at Triple-A

Shewmake (undisclosed) has gone 1-for-9 with a walk in three games for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Wednesday.

Shewmake missed about a month of action due to the unspecified injury. The 27-year-old infielder possesses a spot on the Yankees' 40-man roster but has spent the entirety of the 2025 season at Triple-A, slashing .228/.317/.364 with four home runs and nine steals in 49 games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

  • Nick Gonzales 2B | PIT

Pirates' Nick Gonzales: Struggling out of break

Gonzales went 1-for-4 with two runs scored Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Gonzales led off the eighth inning with a single before coming around to score, also snapping a three-game hitless streak. He has struggled out of the All-Star break and more broadly in July, going only 13-for-70 with one home run, four RBI and seven runs scored across 19 games.

  • Nolan Gorman 2B | STL

Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Cleared for rehab assignment

Gorman (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield on Tuesday, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Gorman's back responded well to a pain-killing injection, and he has been cleared for rehab games. The infielder has been sidelined for just under two weeks, so he could be ready to rejoin the Cardinals' active roster later this week. What Gorman's role looks like upon his return might depend on what additions and subtractions the Cardinals make to their roster ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Reaches 10-steal mark

Semien went 0-for-5 with a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over Atlanta.

Semien reached base on a fielder's choice and stole second before coming around to score on Wyatt Langford's three-run double in the first inning. This was Semien's 10th steal of the campaign, and he's logged three of them over his last six games despite going 2-for-22 at the plate in that span. He continues to struggle with consistency, slashing .223/.303/.358 on the year while adding 13 home runs, 52 RBI, 51 runs scored, 11 doubles and one triple through 105 games.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Leads offense Sunday

Torres went 2-for-4 with a home run, an additional run scored and four RBI in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Blue Jays.

Torres snapped a four-game hitless streak in a big way, delivering his 10th home run of the season and recording his first four-RBI game of the year. The infielder has been a steady presence for the Tigers, registering a .276/.378/.415 slash line through 94 contests, and he's third on the team with 54 runs scored. Torres remains in a fantasy-friendly spot batting second in Detroit's lineup, ahead of sluggers Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson as well as the newly reinstated Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) on Sunday.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Productive in win Sunday

Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 win over the White Sox

Hoerner extended his hitting streak to five games, and he's now batting .353 in nine contests following the All-Star break. The speedy infielder has been an effective leadoff option against lefties recently, and while he batted eighth Sunday with the White Sox starting righty Grant Taylor, Hoerner still managed to make a fantasy impact. He's a reliable option in all formats, particularly due to his ability to swipe bases, as he has 19 steals this season in 22 attempts.
