Castro (back) is starting at second base and batting sixth against the Dodgers on Monday.

Castro was out of the lineup for the last two games of the Rockies' weekend series against the Diamondbacks due to lower-back tightness. He did pinch hit in Sunday's game and has recovered enough to be back in the lineup for Monday's series opener. Castro is slashing .248/.314/.348 with three steals, two home runs and 16 RBI in 156 plate appearances this season.

Hoerner is not in Monday's lineup against the Pirates.

Hoerner is hitting .179 with two steals in his last 10 games. Recent call-up Pedro Ramirez gets the nod at the keystone, batting sixth.

Albies went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Nationals.

The second baseman accounted for half of Atlanta's hits on the afternoon, and he crossed the plate with the team's only run in the ninth inning. Since seeing a 17-game hitting streak come to an end May 5, Albies fell into a funk, batting .059 (2-for-34) over the subsequent nine contests, but he may be coming out of it. Across his last eight games, he's batting .258 (8-for-31) with four RBI and seven runs, although his homer drought stands at 18 games.

Mayer went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Twins.

Mayer singled in a run that gave the Red Sox a brief lead during Boston's three-run fourth inning. Sunday marked his first start of the season at shortstop, as he'll be the primary fill-in for the injured Trevor Story (abdomen), who underwent surgery and is not expected back until at least late June. Mayer, who entered the game on a 2-for-20 run, is slashing .214/.277/.577 over 47 contests.

Marte went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 victory over the Rockies.

Marte led the game off with a double before adding a two-RBI two-bagger in the second inning as part of a three-hit effort. The switch-hitter has been scorching hot at the plate of late, going 15-for-28 (.536) with three homers, four doubles, 12 RBI and 11 runs over the past seven games. The recent surge has pushed the second baseman's overall numbers in the right direction, as Marte is slashing .262/.316/.456 with 20 extra-base hits (eight homers), 27 RBI and 32 runs across 49 games.

Bazzana batted leadoff and went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Phillies. He was also caught stealing.

Bazzana, atop Cleveland's order for the second consecutive game, had a game-opening single but was gunned down attempting to get into scoring position. He eventually made an impact in the eighth inning, when his homer was an insurance tally for Guardians. The rookie is up to three home runs, 10 RBI, 13 walks, seven steals and 11 runs scored over 24 contests.

Meidroth went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Giants.

Meidroth got the White Sox on the board early with a leadoff home run off Robbie Ray in the first inning, though the former failed to reach base safely in each of his next four plate appearances. It was Meidroth's fourth home run of the season, and over his last five games, he has gone 5-for-20 with one home run, three RBI and three runs scored.

Astros manager Joe Espada said Sunday that Altuve (oblique) is expected to resume swinging a bat "in the next day or two," Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Altuve traveled with the Astros to Chicago for their series versus the Cubs but is slated to fly to Florida later Sunday as he begins his rehab program for the moderate left oblique strain that recently sent him to the injured list. He's already started playing catch again, but swinging the bat will represent a more meaningful step forward in his recovery from the oblique injury. Altuve still has multiple checkpoints to hit before being deemed ready for game action, but he seems to be making quicker progress than the Astros may have initially anticipated.

Peraza will start at third base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Peraza will be included in the starting nine for the fifth time in the last six games, this time occupying third base after his previous four starts had come at second base. The Angels should have steady playing time available for Peraza in the short term after Yoan Moncada (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday. Peraza has been reasonably productive when given the chance to play; he's maintaining a .278/.347/.474 slash line to go with six home runs and five stolen bases over 148 plate appearances on the season.

Jackson is out of the lineup for the second game of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Tigers.

Jackson Holliday will rejoin the starting nine at second base after Jackson occupied the position for the Orioles' 5-3 win in Game 1 while going 1-for-4 with a run scored. The Orioles have yet to start Holliday in consecutive games since he was activated from the injured list Monday, but he should eventually settle back into a near-everyday role once he's further removed from the hand injury that had kept him on the shelf all season. When that happens, Jackson is likely to see a stark downturn in his playing time.
