Machado went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 11-10 loss to the Rockies.

Machado's blast came in the eighth inning off Rockies reliever Bryan Shaw to bring the Padres within a run, but they ultimately failed to tie the game. The blast cinched Machado's fifth consecutive 30-homer season. He's added 82 RBI, 78 runs scored and a .258/.335/.466 slash line in 144 games during 2019.

Machado received treatment on his left arm Friday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Machado was hit by a curveball in a pinch-hit appearance Thursday. The process he underwent Friday included receiving electrical impulses to stimulate blood flow and promote healing. Despite the treatment, Machado is playing third base and batting third Saturday and is not expected to miss any time.

Newman went 3-for-5 with a triple and a double in a 14-1 defeat by the Cubs on Saturday.

Newman has hit safely in his last eight games, going 14-for-37 (.378), and in the bigger picture he's contributed 10 home runs and 15 stolen bases this season. The 26-year-old is slashing .318/.365/.455 over 440 at-bats and has 35 extra-base hits this season.

Astudillo is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians.

He had started six games in a row prior to this contest and went 0-for-3 in the day game. C.J. Cron will start at first base and hit seventh in the night game.

McMahon is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres.

McMahon has not been a strict platoon player this season -- he's logged 29 starts against lefties -- but lately manager Bud Black has been turning to Pat Valaika at second base against southpaws. Valaika will man the keystone and bat seventh Saturday against Eric Lauer.

Muncy went 0-for-3 with a pair of walks and a run scored in a win over the Mets on Friday.

Muncy returned to the lineup after missing 13 games with a small crack in his right wrist, playing first base and batting second. Although he did not produce any base knocks, he reached base twice via walk and scored a run in the seventh inning. Muncy has drawn 84 free passes this season, and his 15.6 percent walk rate ranks first on the team.

Candelario is not in Saturday's lineup against the Orioles.

He is hitting .219 with zero home runs in 32 at-bats this month. John Hicks will start at first base and hit seventh.

Arenado went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and a two-run home run in Friday's 10-8 win over the Padres.

His first-inning blast off Joey Lucchesi set the tone for a typically wild Coors Field affair that featured five homers and 14 extra-base hits between the two teams, but it was also Arenado's 40th long ball of the year. He's now one of only four third baseman in MLB history with at least three 40-HR campaigns on their resume -- joining Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt and Eddie Mathews, as well as fellow Rockie Vinny Castilla, in a very exclusive club. Castilla and Arenado are also the only two Colorado players at any position to accomplish the feat.

Moncada went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple, a three-run double and a run scored in Friday's 9-7 win over the Mariners.

Moncada's first hit of the night was a single before his third-inning triple and fourth-inning double. The 24-year-old had two chances at a cycle, but couldn't get a homer off the Mariners' bullpen. Moncada now has multiple hits in seven of his last nine games, batting 17-for-35 (.486) with seven RBI and 10 runs scored in that span. For the year, he boasts a .305/.362/.536 line with 23 homers, 72 RBI and 73 runs scored in a breakout campaign.

Davis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Dodgers.

Davis kicked off the contest with a solo blast to left field, but the Mets would fall 9-2 in the series opener. He's registered an RBI in each of his last three games, and he now sits with 52 RBI over 127 matchups in 2019.
