Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Leaves yard again Sunday
McMahon went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks and three runs scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.
McMahon capped off his strong weekend with a solo home run in the eighth to extend the Rockies lead. He's now homered four times this month and has raised his OPS to .736 after posting a .508 OPS in March/April. In his last seven games, McMahon is hitting .500/.607/1.091 with a 6:5 BB:K. He's notoriously been more effective in Denver and will aim to keep his hot bat going this week despite the Rockies having all their games on the road.

Matthew Lugo SS | LAA
Angels' Matthew Lugo: Crushes pinch-hit home run
Lugo went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.
Lugo stepped up to the plate as a pinch hitter in the ninth and delivered a 421-foot solo homer to left field. His first two major-league hits have now been an RBI triple and a solo home run in three games. It's still hard to envision Lugo carving out more consistent at-bats in the short term, but he definitely made some noise this past weekend and could be afforded some extra looks.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Breaks out of slump
Lewis went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's 7-6 win over San Francisco. He ended an 0-for-13 slump to begin the season.
Lewis slumped at the end of last season as well, so he was 0-for-36 since last September before Sunday. Lewis missed the team's first 35 games after suffering a strained hamstring late in spring training. He may finally be shaking off the rust with Sunday's performance.

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 6-1 win at Washington.
With his 385-foot homer in the eighth inning off reliever Brad Lord, the veteran third baseman snapped an 11-game stretch without a long ball. Over that span, Arenado hit .256 (11-for-43) with a double, four runs scored and two RBI. Despite cracking only four homers through 159 plate appearances so far, Arenado has produced a solid .270/.352/.426 slash line with 19 runs scored and 16 RBI across 37 games.

Luis Rengifo 3B | LAA
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Taking seat Sunday
Rengifo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Tim Anderson will step in at second base while Rengifo hits the bench for the second time in the last four games. Though Rengifo still appears to be locked into a near-everyday role, he may have lost some job security after a slow start to May in which he's gone just 2-for-22 at the dish.
-
Ben Williamson 3B | TB
Mariners' Ben Williamson: Not in Sunday's lineup
Williamson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
After making 10 straight starts at third base, Williamson will hit the bench Sunday after going 8-for-40 (.200 average) with 13 strikeouts during that span. Miles Mastrobuoni will step in at the hot corner and bat eighth.
-
Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Orioles' Emmanuel Rivera: Handling everyday role
Rivera will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Angels.
Rivera will pick up his fifth straight start at third base and should operate as the Orioles' main option at the position until one or both of Jordan Westburg (hamstring) and Ramon Urias (hamstring) return from the injured list. Coby Mayo had represented Rivera's main competition for reps at the hot corner before Mayo was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.

Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Nursing leg injury
Vargas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins due to a right calf injury, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Though Vargas will hit the bench for a second day in a row, his injury is considered minor, and he'll be available to play Sunday if needed. The 25-year-old has mostly held down an everyday role this season, but the White Sox plan to rotate Vargas, Andrew Vaughn and the newly promoted Tim Elko at first base and designated hitter against right-handed pitching. Vargas should still play regularly against lefties while handling the short side of a platoon at third base with Josh Rojas.
