Darell Hernaiz SS | ATH
Athletics' Darell Hernaiz: Hits pair of doubles
Hernaiz went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI during Thursday's 3-1 win over the Rays.
The 22-year-old entered Thursday's contest with zero doubles in 113 plate appearances but notched a pair of two-baggers off Jeffrey Springs. While the Hernaiz has struggled to a .202/.267/.250 slash line this season, he'll likely continue to see plenty of work down the stretch for the 55-73 Athletics.

Ernie Clement SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Homers again Thursday
Clement went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-3 win against the Angels.
Clement contributed to Toronto's five-run second inning with a two-run blast to left field. It was his third straight contest with a homer following a 32-game stretch during which he went deep just once. Clement has enjoyed a strong August, notching at least one hit in 13 of 18 contests and batting .292 (21-for-72) with four homers, 14 RBI, nine runs and three stolen bases during that span.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Secures 30-30 season
Ramirez went 0-for-1 with three walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 6-0 loss to the Yankees.
Ramirez has been hitless in five of his last seven games, going 2-for-23 with seven walks and four steals in that span. While his bat is cold, his steal Thursday was his 30th of the year, and that got him to the second 30-30 campaign of his career. His career high of 34 thefts from 2018 is very much in reach. Ramirez is slashing .273/.332/.530 with 32 home runs, 101 RBI and 93 runs scored over 124 contests this season, and given his overall career consistency, it's safe to assume his current slump won't stretch too much longer.

Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Returning Friday
Chisholm (elbow) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
Although manager Aaron Boone said earlier in the week that it would be "ambitious" to expect Chisholm to return from the IL after a minimum-length stay, it now appears that is exactly what the 26-year-old will do. Before landing on the injured list, he had slashed .316/.361/.702 with seven homers and 11 RBI across 14 games as a Yankee, and he figures to immediately slide back into his previous role as New York's everyday third baseman. Oswald Peraza was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday to create a roster spot for Chisholm.

Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Optioned to Triple-A
The Yankees optioned Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.
Since coming up from the minors Aug. 14, Peraza has appeared in four games and gone 2-for-10 with a home run and two runs scored. No corresponding move for his demotion has been announced yet, though he was initially recalled to serve as a roster replacement for Jazz Chisholm (elbow), who is eligible to return from the injured list Friday.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Not starting Thursday
Bohm isn't in the Phillies' lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Bohm's six-game hitting streak was snapped by an 0-for-4 effort during Wednesday's win, and he'll now get a breather during Thursday's series finale. Weston Wilson will step in as the Phillies' third baseman and bat eighth.

Junior Caminero 3B | TB
Rays' Junior Caminero: Receiving afternoon off
Caminero is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.
For the first time since getting called up from Triple-A Durham on Aug. 13, Caminero will head to the bench, breaking a stretch of eight consecutive starts. Jose Caballero will pick up the start at third base Thursday, but Caminero is viewed as the organization's long-term answer at the hot corner and should handle a near-everyday role down the stretch.

Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Closing in on return from IL
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Thursday that Chisholm (elbow) is "real close to a return" from the 10-day injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Earlier this week, Boone described the possibility of Chisholm being activated from the IL when first eligible Saturday as "ambitious," but the skipper may have since changed his stance. While he might not be quite ready to go Saturday, Chisholm is in a good spot after getting through a pain-free session of batting practice Wednesday. It's unclear whether he will require a rehab assignment before returning. Chisholm is working his way back from a UCL sprain in his left (non-throwing) elbow.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Stays hot with three RBI
Muncy went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in Wednesday's win over Seattle.
Muncy doubled in two of his first three trips to the plate, plating three runs on the latter two-bagger as the Dodgers jumped out to a commanding 8-1 lead. The third baseman has now hit safely in three straight games since returning from the injured list due to an oblique strain, driving in at least one run in all three contests. In fact, he's recorded at least one RBI in each of his last five starts, dating back to May 14 against the Giants.
