Jung is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

Jung will be on the bench for the first time all season, opening up third base for Josh Smith. While starting in each of Texas' first nine games, Jung has hit .229 with two home runs, five RBI and five runs while striking out at a manageable 24.3 percent clip.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Walls is dealing with tendinitis in his left elbow, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The good news for Walls is that the injury is to his non-throwing elbow, and he doesn't have any structural damage. The Rays are hopeful that Walls will be available to play in a day or two, though he doesn't look like he'll be an option for Monday's series opener versus Boston.

McMahon is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

The lefty-hitting McMahon will take a seat with the Cardinals throwing left-hander Steven Matz. Alan Trejo will cover second base in place of McMahon.

Sosa is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

Following Darick Hall's (thumb) move to the injured list, Sosa started at third base in both of the past two games while Alec Bohm shifted across the diamond to cover Hall's usual spot at first base. Sosa acquitted himself well over the weekend with three hits -- including a solo home run -- over seven at-bats versus Cincinnati, so despite sitting out Monday, he may have the edge of serving as Hall's regular replacement in the lineup. Kody Clemens will get the starting nod at first base Monday, however, while Bohm settles back in at the hot corner.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

After starting eight of the Yankees' first nine games, LeMahieu looks to be getting an off day Monday. The 34-year-old should be the Yankees' primary third baseman while Josh Donaldson (hamstring) is out, but Isiah Kiner-Falefa will get the nod at the position in the series opener in Cleveland.

Newman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.

Newman will give way at shortstop to Jose Barrero after manning the position both of the past two days. Both Newman and Barrero are batting under .200 for the season, so manager David Bell could be inclined to give fairly equitable playing time to both infielders in the short term with the hope one eventually heats up at the plate and emerges as an everyday option.

Henderson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

Henderson has had trouble out of the gate this season, going just 4-for-27 with one home run and one stolen base. The left-handed hitter will take a seat against southpaw JP Sears, with Ramon Urias handling third base and Anthony Santander occupying the designated hitter spot.

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's extra-innings win over the Mariners.

Ramirez has recorded a hit in all 10 of the Guardians' games this season, though he has just one multi-hit effort. He's yet to hit a home run, but he's managed three steals, five RBI, six runs scored, four doubles and a triple. The third baseman continues to be a fixture in the No. 3 hole, and his .300/.408/.450 slash line through 49 plate appearances is pretty solid, though his power should rise while the average is likely to dip a bit.

Moncada is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.

Moncada went just 1-for-14 at the plate during the weekend series in Pittsburgh, so he'll get a day to regroup. Hanser Alberto will handle third base.

Farmer will start at third base and bat seventh in Monday's game against the White Sox.

Farmer will remain in the lineup for the fifth game in a row, with the utility infielder now drawing a start at his third different spot while regular third baseman Jose Miranda handles designated-hitter duties in place of a resting Byron Buxton. Though Farmer will likely see his playing time fade when the Twins are at full strength, he should have a path to regular starts versus left-handed pitching and part-time duty versus righties while all of Max Kepler (knee), Jorge Polanco (knee), Alex Kirilloff (wrist) and Royce Lewis (knee) are on the injured list and while Joey Gallo (side) is day-to-day.
