Jeffers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Dating back to before the All-Star break, Jeffers had started in each of the Twins' last five contests at either catcher or designated hitter, but he'll take a seat Sunday as Minnesota and Milwaukee close their series with a day game. Christian Vazquez will get a turn behind the dish in the finale.

The catcher has been recovering from a strained left hip and will have completed five rehab games when he rejoins the big-league club. Cesar Salazar will likely be optioned once Caratini is activated.

Rogers went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Rogers broke the game open with a grand slam off Trevor Richards in the sixth inning. The long ball was his first since June 29, as he has been sharing catching duties with Carson Kelly. On the year, the 29-year-old is hitting .204 with seven home runs, 20 RBI and 28 runs scored across 199 plate appearances.

Bailey isn't in the Giants' lineup Saturday against the Rockies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bailey went 0-for-3 with a walk and drove in a run during Friday's loss, and he'll step aside Saturday while Curt Casali starts behind home plate.

Nido isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Saturday's game against Arizona.

The Cubs seem to have fallen into a pattern of alternating between Nido and Miguel Amaya behind the plate, and Saturday will mark Amaya's turn to start while he bats eighth.

Higashioka isn't in the Padres' lineup for Saturday's game against Cleveland.

Higashioka went 0-for-2 with a walk during Friday's loss, and he'll now get a day to regroup after being held hitless in each of his last three games. Luis Campusano will take over behind the plate and bat ninth.

Ruiz isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Ruiz will take a seat Saturday after hitting his seventh home run of the season during Friday's victory. In his place, Riley Adams will start behind the dish and bat fifth.
