Buxton is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs due to a foot injury, though he's available to pinch hit off the bench, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Buxton went 2-for-5 with two runs and a stolen base during Tuesday's contest, but he was also hit by a pitch in the foot that will sidelined him for at least one game. He should be considered day-to-day while Nick Gordan mans center field for the Twins.

Solak is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Solak will head to the bench for the first time since Aug. 25 while Yonny Hernandez checks in for him at the keystone. During his stretch of 25 consecutive starts, Solak slashed .264/.340/.379 with two home runs, one stolen base, 12 RBI and 10 runs.

Buxton will get a some routine maintenance for the series finale in Chicago, sitting for the first time in two weeks while Nick Gordon patrols center field. Since returning from a two-month stint on the injured list in late August, Buxton is hitting .194 with four home runs, 15 runs, six RBI and one stolen base in 23 games.

Stanton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI groundout in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Rangers.

Typically known for his arcing, titanic blasts, Stanton's home run Tuesday was a highlight-worthy one mostly for the speed in which it left the yard rather than its distance. According to Statcast, Stanton's 415-foot line-drive blast to left field was clocked at 118.5 miles per hour off the bat, making it the third-hardest-hit home run of 2021. Per the Associated Press, Stanton now has 10 home runs with exit velocities exceeding 118 mph since Statcast began tracking those speeds in 2015; all other MLB hitters have combined for 10 such long balls.

Brantley (knee) is not expected to be activated off the injured list when eligible Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Houston manager Dusty Baker said it was unlikely that Brantley will be ready to go Wednesday. He cited the need for Brantley to run the bases again and take more batting practice, although the outfielder did participate in a full pregame workout prior to Tuesday's contest.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Astros.

Ohtani went deep off Cristian Javier in the eighth inning. It was his 45th long ball of the season and first since Sept. 10, and he now trails Vladimir Guerrero and Salvador Perez by one. Although he's having a historic season, the 26-year-old was slashing just .171/.293/.300 in his last 20 games prior to Tuesday.

Torrens is not starting Tuesday against Oakland.

He'll sit for the second time in three games after going 0-for-4 in Monday's series opener. Mitch Haniger will serve as the DH as Jake Bauers mans right field Tuesday.

Rooker is not starting Tuesday against the Cubs.

The outfielder sat out the series finale in Toronto, and now he'll remain out of the lineup for the first of two games at Wrigley Field. Nick Gordon draws the start in left field against right-hander Alec Mills.

Ramirez (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

Ramirez missed both halves of Monday's twin bill after exiting Sunday with a right shoulder injury. It remains to be seen if he could be available off the bench Tuesday, and he can remain considered day-to-day until Cleveland provides an update. Oscar Mercado draws the start in left field.

Canha, who went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in a loss to the Mariners on Monday, is now hitting just .167 (5-for-30) with a double, two RBI, five walks, two hit-by-pitches and six runs in his last eight games.

It's worth noting Canha has actually struck out at a lesser frequency -- 16.2 percent -- during that sample than his 20.4 percent season figure, with a .208 BABIP over that span partly to blame for his poor numbers. The veteran outfielder has salvaged his OBP during the skid by still drawing walks at an elevated 13.5 percent clip, and he should be able to emerge from his doldrums in short order if he continues to make consistent contact.
