Jimenez (pectoral) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Winston-Salem on Friday.

Jimenez underwent surgery in late March on a ruptured left pectoral tendon and was expected to miss four-to-five months. The best-case return date was thought to be late-July/early-August, so it sounds like this will be a best-case scenario if he avoids setbacks. It's unclear how long the rehab assignment will be, but as a position player, it may only take Jimenez a couple weeks to get up to speed.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Boston.

The 27-year-old extended his major-league leading homer total to 32 with a go-ahead solo shot in the fifth inning. Ohtani hasn't gone more than two games without a long ball since June 15. The two-way superstar is slashing .279/.364/.700 with 69 RBI, 63 runs scored and 12 stolen bases through 330 plate appearances.

Torrens is on the bench for Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Torrens has hit .179 and tallied eight RBI in his last eight games, with four of his five hits being home runs. Tom Murphy gets a start at catcher Wednesday.

Choi will not start Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader as lefty Sam Hentges takes the ball for Cleveland, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Choi will get a breather after recording a walk while going hitless in Game 1. Yandy Diaz will start at first base as Wander Franco mans the hot corner.

Reyes isn't in the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rays.

Reyes provided Cleveland's only run production in Wednesday's matinee, as he went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a strikeout. Jose Ramirez will serve as the designated hitter in the second game, while Ernie Clement starts at third base.

Cabrera isn't starting Wednesday against the Rangers.

Cabrera has recorded multi-hit games in five of his last eight appearances, but he'll get a breather for Wednesday's series finale after he went 2-for-11 with three runs, two walks and two strikeouts across the last three games. Eric Haase will serve as the designated hitter and bat fourth.

Collins isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Collins started Tuesday's game after Yasmani Grandal (knee) was placed on the injured list, and he went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run. Seby Zavala will make his season debut behind the plate and bat ninth.

Solak is not starting Wednesday against the Tigers.

Solak is currently in the midst of a 3-for-23 skid at the plate, so he will get a breather Wednesday against right-hander Casey Mize. Eli White will shift to second base while David Dahl mans left field.

Ohtani (4-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 5-3 victory over the Red Sox, allowing two runs on five hits over seven innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The two-way superstar also went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI while batting for himself. Ohtani bounced back nicely after a disastrous last trip to the mound, and Tuesday's quality start was his sixth of the season. He'll head into the All-Star break with a 3.49 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 87:35 K:BB through 67 innings as a pitcher in addition to his massive hitting numbers.

Alvarez went 3-for-3 with a walk, two home runs, five RBI and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-6 win over Oakland.

Fresh off the paternity list, Alvarez showed off his "dad" strength Tuesday, clobbering a first-inning two-run homer, then a three-run job in the fifth. The second blast tied the game after Houston had fallen behind early. The slugging DH/outfielder has produced seven homers and 18 RBI over the last 12 games.
