Solak batted leadoff and went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Mariners.

Injuries have caused Rangers manager Chris Woodward to adjust the top of the batting order. Solak has filled in at leadoff the last four games as Shin-Soo Choo (calf) and Elvis Andrus (back, IL) are unavailable. He's gone 3-for-17 with a home run and two runs scored atop the order.

Brantley went 0-for-3 in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Padres.

Brantley started at designated hitter, his first game action since missing time on the injured list due to a quadriceps injury. His return brings stability to the DH spot, which was filled by four different Astro hitters over the last five games. Kyle Tucker has been playing left field regularly in place of Brantley, and the two are expected to share left field and DH going forward.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run Sunday against the Athletics.

Ohtani provided the Angels with the majority of their offense Sunday, mashing his home run in the third inning off Frankie Montas. He now has five home runs on the season, and he broke a four-game hitless streak with Sunday's effort. Ohtani has yet to find his groove at the plate overall, as he's hitting just .181/.261/.410, though he does have 14 RBI and 11 runs scored across 92 plate appearances.

Canha went 1-for-4 with two RBI on Sunday against the Angels.

Canha recorded his only hit in the first inning, driving in Matt Chapman with a single. In addition, he provided the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning. Canha has had a strong start to the season, hitting .281/.410/.458 with three home runs, 19 RBI and 18 runs scored across 122 plate appearances.

Vogelbach was traded from the Mariners to the Blue Jays on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations.

Vogelbach was designated for assignment Wednesday after spending five seasons with the Mariners. The 27-year-old generated fairly solid power numbers in 2019, but he's maintained a relatively low batting average. He got off to an especially slow start in 2020 as he hit .094 with two home runs and four RBI over 53 at-bats, and it's unclear what kind of role he could play with the Blue Jays.

Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

Lewis put the Mariners on the board first with his first-inning solo shot. The center fielder is up to seven homers, 19 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases in 29 games this year. He's hit safely in eight straight outings, going 14-for-27 (.519) with three homers, a steal, five RBI and 11 runs scored in that span.

Brantley (quadriceps) will bat sixth and serve as the Astros' designated hitter Sunday against the Padres, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Though Brantley was activated from the injured list Saturday, he ultimately went unused in the Astros' 13-2 loss. While Brantley eases back in from the quad issue, Houston may be reluctant to use him in the outfield, but he should still have an everyday role waiting for him at DH, especially with Yordan Alvarez (knee) set to undergo season-ending surgery. Prior to going on the shelf earlier this month, Brantley slashed .286/.375/.446 with a home run, 10 runs and eight RBI across his first 64 plate appearances of the season.

The Astros placed Alvarez (knee) on the 45-day injured list Sunday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The transaction was just a procedural move after the Astros already acknowledged days earlier that Alvarez would be shut down for the season due to right knee surgery. Houston added pitcher Chase DeJong to the 40-man roster as a replacement for Alvarez.

Lewis went 3-for-3 with a double, two walks and three runs in a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Although he didn't leave the yard, Lewis had one of the more well-rounded real-world and fantasy performances you'll see. The rookie pushed his season line to a stellar .373/.463/.569 with Saturday's effort, which extended his hitting streak to seven games. The double was Lewis' third extra-base hit during that stretch, and he's now put together four multi-hit efforts within that span as well.

Brantley (quadriceps) was activated off the 10-day injured list Saturday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The 33-year-old won't be in the lineup for Saturday's contest, but he'll nonetheless rejoin the active roster after recovering from the quad injury. It previously seemed Brantley was still a couple days away from being activated, and it's unclear if he'll be eased into his regular workload or if he's fully good to go. Josh James (hip) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.
