Cabrera went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-3 extra-innings win over Toronto.

After hitting home run No. 499 on Aug. 11, it took Cabrera nine more games to club his milestone 500th long ball. The 38-year-old took Toronto starter Steven Matz deep in the sixth inning for a game-tying blast. Cabrera is the 28th member of the 500-homer club, and the first native of Venezuela to reach the prestigious mark. He's recorded a .246/.310/.381 slash line with 13 homers, 56 RBI, 41 runs scored and 10 doubles through 406 plate appearances, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Detroit rest him more often now that he's added another piece of history to his ledger.

Choi was removed in the second inning of Sunday's game against the White Sox with left hamstring tightness, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Choi appeared to tweak the hamstring while rounding first on his first-inning double. He stayed in the contest and came around to score, but he remained in the dugout when the Rays came out for the top of the second inning. According to Topkin, the hamstring issue is something that Choi had been managing off and on heading into Sunday, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Rays held him out of the lineup for at least the next few days.

Miller is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Miller had been seeing steady at-bats at first base versus right-handed pitching of late, but he'll move into a bench role after the Phillies reinstated Rhys Hoskins (groin) from the 10-day injured list ahead of the series finale. While appearing in 17 games this month, Miller has made little impact at the plate, going 7-for-47 (.149 average) with two home runs.

McCutchen is not in the lineup for Sunday's series finale in San Diego, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The veteran gets a day off after going 0-for-5 with five strikeouts Saturday, lowering his average to .103 with 16 strikeouts in the last 10 games. Odubel Herrera is playing left field Sunday, with Travis Jankowski getting the start in center.

Vogelbach (hamstring) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The move is simply a procedural one to clear a 40-man roster spot, as Vogelbach has been on the IL since June 23 and is eligible to return as soon as Monday. The addition of Rowdy Tellez since Vogelbach got hurt complicates the latter's roster position, so Vogelbach may remain with Triple-A Nashville until rosters expand to 28 in September.

Blackmon is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Blackmon went 3-for-4 on Saturday and has hit .379 with two home runs and eight RBI in his last eight games. Sam Hilliard shifts to right field Sunday, with Garrett Hampson getting the start in center.

Solak started at second base and went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-1 win over Boston.

Solak was called up Friday with the expectation that he would be the primary starter at second base. He did not arrive until Friday's game started, but Solak was in the lineup Saturday.

Reyes went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Angels.

Reyes worked the back end of a double-steal with Jose Ramirez in the first inning, although both were left on base. In his last three games, Reyes has gone 4-for-13 with two home runs, six RBI, two runs scored and a pair of walks. He's worked his way out of a week-long slump, but that poor stretch has dropped his slash line to .253/.320/.534 with 22 homers, 60 RBI, 41 runs scored and four stolen bases through 322 plate appearances overall.

Pederson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-4 win over Baltimore.

Pederson took Matt Harvey deep in the the fourth inning for his 15th long ball of the season. The solo shot marked his first homer since Aug. 5 and just his second overall in August. Pederson is batting only .227 this month but has notched a tidy 8:9 BB:K.

Ruf went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over Oakland.

The 35-year-old went back-to-back with Brandon Belt in the seventh inning, cutting San Francisco's deficit to one run. Ruf was also on base after a walk in the second inning when Kris Bryant homered. While his playing time has dried up with San Francisco's batters nearly at full health, Ruf has gone 11-for-34 (.324) with three homers, seven RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in August. Ruf's path to playing time is as a short-side platoon option with Belt at first base or one of Alex Dickerson or LaMonte Wade in left field.
