Vodnik walked one and struck out one in a scoreless inning Thursday against the Tigers.

Vodnik was reinstated from the injured list Sunday and has made two scoreless appearances since -- each coming in the seventh inning. Meanwhile, Tyler Kinley has picked up both of Colorado's saves in that same span, suggesting Vodnik is out of the closer role for the time being.

Yates picked up the save over the Mariners on Friday, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning while striking out two.

Yates entered the contest to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning and needed 11 pitches to get through the first two batters before allowing a single to Victor Robles. The veteran reliever was then able to get Julio Rodriguez to go down swinging for the final out while securing his 30th save of the campaign in the process. Yates has converted each of his last nine save opportunities, including five this month. He's allowed only one hit and one walk through five September appearances, posting a 6:1 K:BB over that stretch.

Lovelady pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save over the Guardians on Thursday.

Lovelady relieved Manuel Rodriguez to open the bottom of the ninth and managed to retire the side in order on just six pitches to lock down his second save of the campaign. It was a nice bounceback performance for the southpaw after he surrendered two runs and took the loss in his previous outing Tuesday. It also marked Lovelady's first save opportunity since Aug. 17 against the Diamondbacks, and he's now held opponents scoreless in six of his last seven relief appearances.

Roupp is listed as the Giants' probable pitcher for Sunday's matchup against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Roupp made his first career start Tuesday and limited the Brewers to two runs across five innings. He'll enter his second turn through the rotation having maintained a 3.44 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with a 36:19 K:BB across 36.2 frames in the majors this season.

Foley (3-6) allowed two runs on two hits across an inning of work to take the loss Thursday against the Rockies.

A day after recording his 22nd save of the season, Foley was less effective in a non-save situation Thursday. The righty entered in a 2-2 game and allowed his first earned runs in an appearance since July 30. Foley's recent success and his 3.15 ERA overall should keep him locked in as Detroit's primary closer, though lefty Tyler Holton has also been good, and the latter should continue to see some save opportunities in the right matchups.

Tinoco got the save in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Nationals. He pitched two innings without allowing a run or a hit and striking out two.

Tinoco entered the game in the eighth inning with a two-run lead and proceeded to retire all six batters he faced to record his first save since 2019, when he was a member of the Rockies. The right-hander is pitching for his third team this season but seems to have found a home in Miami, as he has a 1.33 ERA and 0.54 WHIP in 20.1 innings since joining the Marlins. The 29-year-old has a chance at being the closer for the Marlins down the stretch with Calvin Faucher (shoulder) and John McMillon (elbow) on the injured list.

McCaughan came away with the no-decision in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Nationals. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out one.

McCaughan got off to a rough start, giving up three runs in the first inning before settling down and getting through the next four frames unscathed. McCaughan was making his third straight start and completed five innings for the first time this year. The 28-year-old has yet to strikeout more than four hitters in any of his eight appearances this season and carries a 7.06 ERA through 29.1 innings.

Wilson (oblique) will throw a bullpen session Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Wilson landed on the injured list Sept. 3 and his upcoming bullpen session will mark his first time throwing since. He should have a chance to return before the close of the regular season, barring a setback.

Zastryzny (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Zastryzny has been sidelined since July 26 with elbow tendinitis. He appeared to be closing in on a return but had his rehab assignment paused in late August. He'll be sidelined until at least Sept. 26 as a result of this move.

Peguero was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.

Peguero has pitched nearly the entire season at the big-league level and maintained a solid 2.98 ERA across 51.1 frames. However, his 4.7 BB/9 has led to an inflated 1.54 WHIP. He'll head to the minors, though he would be a candidate to return to the majors if the Brewers require depth out of the bullpen later in the month.
