Neris earned a save against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with no strikeouts.

Entering with a 4-2 lead in the ninth inning, Neris surrendered a solo home run to Jose Caballero and then allowed a single and a walk before retiring Yandy Diaz and Brandon Lowe to escape with the save. This wasn't the most encouraging outing after Neris yielded four runs in a blown save Tuesday night, but manager Craig Counsell showed his faith in Neris as the team's closer by relying on him again Wednesday. On the season, Neris is 10-for-13 in save chances with a 4.21 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 24:19 K:BB across 25.2 innings.

The Rangers optioned Anderson to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.

Anderson hasn't found much success in the majors since joining the Rangers in May, posting a 9.53 ERA and 1.76 WHIP through 17 innings. He'll now head back to Triple-A in order to right the ship, and Brock Burke (hand) will come off the 60-day injured list to fill the opening in Texas' bullpen.

Burke has been on the injured list since mid-April with a broken right (non-throwing) hand. He began a rehab assignment May 16, posting a 2.45 ERA and 1.09 WHIP through 11 innings across nine appearances -- seven of which came in Triple-A. The left-hander will presumably slide into a middle relief role with the Rangers, and his return will push Grant Anderson back to Triple-A Round Rock.

Megill earned the save Wednesday in a 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, working around a hit and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

After Toronto logged three straight hits off Hoby Milner to start the ninth, the Brewers turned to Megill to shut the door. He got off to a shaky start, allowing two inherited runs to score after a hit and a walk, though he'd ultimately settle in and close out the 5-3 victory. The 30-year-old Megill has now converted Milwaukee's last three save chances while allowing just one earned run in his last seven appearances. Megill's converted 11 of 12 save opportunities this year while working to a 1.89 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 25:5 K:BB across 19 innings.

Munoz had an MRI and bone scan on his back come back clean, but he received an injection Tuesday to address the lingering soreness, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

The right-hander last pitched Sunday in Kansas City and has made just two appearances in June while battling through the back issue. Munoz hasn't officially been declared unavailable, but the Mariners may try to stay away from him for another day or two as he recovers.

The White Sox reinstated Wilson (back) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

The right-hander landed on the shelf in late May with a back strain but is ready to rejoin Chicago after making two rehab appearances with Triple-A Charlotte. Wilson has been a reliable high-leverage option for manager Pedro Grifol this year with six holds and a 2.84 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 19:14 K:BB across 19 innings.

The White Sox designated Hill for assignment Wednesday.

The left-hander joined Chicago on a one-year contract during the offseason, but he struggled in 27 outings with a 5.87 ERA, 2.22 WHIP and 13:10 K:BB over 23 innings. Assuming he clears waivers, Hill could opt for free agency rather than accepting an assignment to Triple-A Charlotte.

Faedo (hip) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Faedo looks set to throw off a mound for the first time since he landed on the 15-day injured list last week with inflammation in his surgically-repaired right hip. He looks to be closing in on a rehab assignment and shouldn't need too many appearances before being activated since he hasn't missed extensive time.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Wednesday that Diaz (shoulder) will immediately become the team's closer upon his activation from the 15-day injured list Thursday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Diaz had been part of a committee at closer for the Mets prior to landing on the IL with a right shoulder impingement in late May. However, Mendoza is now ready to restore Diaz to his old role beginning with Thursday's contest against the Marlins. Diaz has converted four of his nine save chances this season while holding a 5.40 ERA and 30:7 K:BB over 20 innings.

The Marlins optioned Ramirez to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

He'll cede his spot on the 26-man active roster to JT Chargois (neck), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Ramirez has been excellent out of the Marlins bullpen this season, allowing just one run with a 9:1 K:BB over 9.1 innings. He'll surely be back in the majors before long, but for now, Ramirez will report to Jacksonville.
