Seymour (4-1) earned the win Thursday over the Royals, allowing just one walk and no hits over 6.2 scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

Working as the Rays' bulk reliever, Seymour was nearly perfect Thursday, allowing just one baserunner while setting a season high with seven strikeouts. Since moving into a starting/bulk-relief role, Seymour's posted a 2.84 ERA with a 0.84 WHIP and 19 strikeouts across four outings (19 innings). Overall, his ERA sits at 4.32 with a 1.14 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB through 50 innings this season.

The Mets recalled Duarte from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

Duarte will join the big club for the third time this season to provide the Mets with additional bullpen depth while the team works through how to replace the recently traded David Peterson in the rotation. Duarte has given up just one hit and one walk while striking out three batters in five scoreless innings in the majors this season.

The Mets returned Pintaro to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

Pintaro was added to the active roster as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cubs, and he'll return to Syracuse now that his services are no longer required by the big club. The 28-year-old righty has given up seven earned runs in 12.1 innings with the Mets this season.

The Diamondbacks will recall Burgos from Triple-A Reno before Thursday's contest in St. Louis, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

He'll provide a fresh bullpen arm after the Diamondbacks' relievers were needed for six innings in Wednesday's win over the Cardinals. Burgos has struggled this season at Reno, collecting a 6.59 ERA and 19:13 K:BB over 28.2 innings.

The Cubs designated Zulueta for assignment Thursday.

The transaction clears space on the 40-man roster for the addition of David Peterson, who was acquired via trade. Zulueta was a trade acquisition himself earlier this month after having been booted from the Mariners' 40-man roster. He'll go through the waivers process again.

Farris allowed one hit, issued one walk and struck out one batter over two scoreless relief innings against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Angels starter Jose Soriano struggled and was able to give the team only three innings before Farris was brought in to begin the fourth. The lefty reliever got into a bit of trouble by allowing a one-out double and then hitting Gunnar Henderson with a pitch, but Farris was able to get out of the frame unscathed thanks to a double play. He returned for the fifth and induced another double play en route to a second scoreless inning. Farris has covered two or more frames in nine of his 14 appearances this season and has posted a 3.45 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 31:16 K:BB with one hold across 31.1 innings.

The Diamondbacks will recall Pfaadt from Triple-A Reno to start Friday against the Rays at Tropicana Field, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Pfaadt has been getting stretched back out during his time at Reno after he had been used in relief toward the end of his previous stint with Arizona. The right-hander threw 52 pitches over 3.2 innings in his last appearance with Reno over the weekend, so he will still be somewhat limited from a workload perspective Friday. Pfaaft should receive at least one additional start for the Diamondbacks after Friday while Ryne Nelson (elbow) and Michael Soroka (glute) remain on the injured list.

Seymour is expected to pitch in bulk relief behind opener Casey Legumina in Thursday's game against the Royals, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Seymour made a five-inning start against the Nationals his last time out Saturday, but he'll be deployed out of the bullpen for his upcoming turn through the rotation. Since settling in as the Rays' de facto No. 5 starter June 8, Seymour has gone 0-1 with a 4.38 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB in 12.1 innings over three appearances.

Raley (2-2) took the loss in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cubs, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk in one inning of relief. He didn't strike out a batter.

The veteran lefty entered Wednesday's nightcap to begin the sixth inning with the score tied 3-3 and promptly served up a double and a triple to the first two batters he faced, with both coming around to score. Raley has been tagged for runs in three of his eight June appearances, stumbling to a 6.14 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 6:3 K:BB in 7.1 innings on the month with zero saves or holds.

King (5-1) was credited with the win Wednesday against the Rangers, allowing one hit and striking out one in a scoreless inning of relief.

Eury Perez worked 4.2 innings in his return from the IL, and King got the final out in the fifth inning with the game tied 1-1 before the Marlins took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame. King has made nine appearances in June and come away with a win in four of them while producing a stellar 0.93 WHIP, 0.83 WHIP and 7:0 K:BB in 9.2 innings. The 31-year-old southpaw will be hard-pressed to maintain that pace, but King's hardly alone this season in racking up reliever wins at an impressive rate -- Milwaukee's Aaron Ashby leads all MLB pitchers with 10 victories, and Colorado's Antonio Senzatela has eight wins in just 23 relief outings.
