Milner tossed a scoreless seventh inning in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Reds.

Milner did not earn a hold Monday, as the game was tied when he entered it. However, he did keep the opponent off the scoreboard, something he has now done 24 times over a 25-appearance stretch. There are relievers ahead of Milner on the depth chart, but expect manager Craig Counsell to keep turning to him in key spots.

Sewald (3-1) took the loss in the extra inning against the Twins on Monday, allowing an unearned run on two hits over one-third of an inning.

Entrusted with preserving a 3-3 tie when he entered in the 10th inning, Sewald was in an immediate high-leverage scenario with leadoff hitter Christian Vazquez moving automatic runner Donovan Solano to third base with a sacrifice bunt. Two batters later, Carlos Correa laced a game-winning single to right field, saddling Sewald with his first loss of the season. The hiccup snapped what had been a streak of impressive work for Sewald, who'd posted a 10:2 K:BB across 5.1 scoreless innings in his previous six appearances.

Chapman allowed three runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two over one inning in Monday's 10-9 loss to the Astros.

Chapman warmed up when the game was tied in the sixth inning in preparation to face the heart of Houston's order -- Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker and Jose Abreu -- in the seventh. After the Rangers plated three in the top half of the frame, Chapman gave it all back with two walks -- his first free passes since joining the Rangers -- and a Chas McCormick home run. This was the first adverse outing for Chapman in a Texas uniform. The left-hander sparkled over his first seven appearances, giving up three hits without a walk while striking out 12 over seven innings.

Diaz (3-2) picked up the loss to Milwaukee on Monday. He allowed one run on two hits and a walk without retiring a batter.

This was not a save opportunity for Diaz, who entered a tie game in the bottom of the ninth. He walked the leadoff batter on four pitches and gave up consecutive singles for Milwaukee's walk-off win. It was the second straight game in which Diaz has allowed runs to score.

Chafin (2-3) was tagged with the loss and a blown save against the Cardinals on Monday. He allowed five runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over two-thirds of an inning.

Chafin chalked up the outing to poor execution, per Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. The right-hander got to two strikes on six of seven batters, but he could not put enough of them away. "Going for too many punch-outs, I think, and ended up walking guys, and we saw what happened," Chafin said. It was the second straight blown save for Chafin, who last worked a save opportunity July 5. He's one of a trio of relievers -- along with Scott McGough and Miguel Castro -- that manager Torey Lovullo has mixed and matched late in games. All three have had rough outings within the last week, which could open the door for Kevin Ginkel or perhaps a trade-deadline acquisition.

Baker (4-3) allowed a hit but was not charged with a run over one-third of an inning, earning the win Monday over the Phillies.

Baker got the last out of the eighth inning, but only after allowing an inherited runner to score. The Orioles retook the lead in the ninth, and Cionel Perez locked down the save to give Baker his first win since May 12. Baker is at a 3.79 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 48:23 K:BB while adding 11 holds over 40.1 innings this season.

Romano struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Monday's 6-3 extra-innings win over the Dodgers.

Romano turned in a drama-free performance, retiring the side on nine pitches to lock down his second save in as many days. The closer is up to 28 saves in 31 chances this season. He's pitched to a 2.83 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 50:14 K:BB through 41.1 innings. Romano has kept runs off the board in six of his last seven outings.

Gallegos (2-4) allowed two hits and struck out one over 1.1 innings to earn the win over the Diamondbacks on Monday.

After an inconsistent June, Gallegos has stabilized in July, allowing just one run 9.2 innings. The right-hander did his part to keep the Cardinals close Monday, and they rewarded him with a ninth-inning rally. Gallegos is now at a 3.92 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 40:9 K:BB through 41.1 innings. He's added eight holds, 13 saves and four blown saves, but it appears he'll remain in a setup role with Jordan Hicks closing while Ryan Helsley (forearm) remains out, though the St. Louis bullpen could change drastically in the week leading up to the trade deadline.

Barlow allowed two hits in a scoreless inning and earned a save against the Guardians on Monday.

Barlow found himself in a bit of a jam but still finished off the 5-3 victory. He gave up seven runs (six earned) over his previous two outings but still appears to be clinging to the closer role in Kansas City. Barlow has converted 12 of his 14 save chances despite registering an unsightly 5.15 ERA through 36.2 innings this season.

Yarbrough (3-5) yielded one run on six hits over six innings Monday, striking out one and earning a win over Cleveland.

Yarbrough fired five scoreless frames before the Guardians finally broke up the shutout in the sixth inning. He's given up five runs across 17.2 frames (2.55 ERA) in three starts this month since returning from the 60-day injured list. The 31-year-old lefty lowered his season ERA to 4.70 and has a 24:9 K:BB through 44 innings this season. Yarbrough is currently projected for a home matchup against the Twins this weekend.
