Diaz (1-0) earned the win over Cincinnati on Tuesday, needed just eight pitches to complete 1.1 perfect innings.

Diaz got the call against his former team with two outs in the seventh inning of a 4-4 game. He inherited the speedy Elly De La Cruz at second base, but Diaz needed just two pitches to get Austin Hays to ground out. The righty reliever returned for the eighth and retired the side in order on just six pitches, and then moved into position for the win as a result of Los Angeles scoring in the top of the ninth. Diaz was traded from the Reds to the Dodgers in late May after a rough start to the campaign that resulted in a demotion to the minors. Since joining Los Angeles, he's gotten into three games, tossing 3.1scoreless frames with two punchouts and no walks.

Jackson tossed two scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts in Tuesday's 12-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Jackson made his Detroit debut Sunday and promptly allowed four runs while walking three batters and only retiring two. His second appearance with his new team was much more promising, however, and the righty lowered his season ERA to 4.78. Jackson still projects as a low-leverage arm with the Tigers, and he's unlikely to make a significant fantasy impact.

Hurter (3-3) tossed 3.1 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win Tuesday against the Diamondbacks. He allowed one hit and struck out three.

Detroit starter Casey Mize only lasted 1.2 innings during an uneven outing, but Hurter righted the ship for the Tigers and then scooped up the win as the team cruised to an easy 12-2 victory. After a rough patch in late June and into early July, the lefty has been better lately, compiling 9.2 scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts over his last four appearances. Overall, Hurter has a strong 2.68 ERA to go along with 58 strikeouts across 53.2 innings this season, making him one of the Tigers' better bullpen options.

Pressly allowed four runs (three earned) on a hit and two walks across an inning of relief in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers. He struck out two.

Pressly only allowed the one hit but it was a big one, as he served up a grand slam to the red-hot Andrew Vaughn in the sixth inning that broke the game open for Milwaukee. The veteran reliever had seemingly righted the ship after a rough start to the season, but he's now allowed runs in three straight outings, and his ERA has climbed to 4.35. Pressly has a career 3.33 ERA and he was under 4.00 in each of the last seven seasons.

The Cubs activated Hodge (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Iowa, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Hodge is over the shoulder issue that sent him to the IL earlier this month, but the Cubs have decided to keep him at Iowa, where he had been on a rehab assignment. The hard-throwing righty should get another chance with the big club later this season.

Rogers (4-3) took the loss in Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to the Pirates, allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out one over one inning.

Rogers entered with the game tied in the eighth inning and gave up four singles that led to a two-run deficit. The right-hander threw 12 of his 16 pitches for strikes. The 34-year-old allowed his first run since June 30 and now owns a 1.80 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 38:4 K:BB across 50 innings in 53 appearances this season.

Miller (elbow) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session at Oracle Park on Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Miller ramped up his intensity after throwing a 20-pitch bullpen session Saturday. The left-hander was placed on the 15-day injured list July 5 due to a sprained left elbow. He's on track to return in the second or third week of August and is expected to require at least two tune-up games before rejoining the big-league club, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Alexander will be the White Sox's starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Adrian Houser had been slated to start for Chicago, but he is on the trade block and could be on the move ahead of Thursday's deadline. Alexander will be pitching on two days' rest after throwing 1.1 scoreless relief innings Sunday versus the Cubs. The lefty will be on a relatively limited pitch count Wednesday.

Williams earned the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Rays, allowing one run on a hit and a walk while striking out one in an inning of work.

Williams had some room to work with but did not make it easy on himself. He allowed a leadoff triple, and that runner that would come into score. He escaped more damage with a game-ending punchout with runners on second and third. Williams has now allowed a run in three of his last five outings, but his only blown save of the year happened back on April 25. He now has 17 saves to go along with a 4.69 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 54:16 K:BB in 40.1 innings.

King was removed from an appearance Tuesday versus the Marlins due to a left side injury, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The Cardinals deemed King's removal precautionary, with the hope being that he is merely dealing with cramps rather than an oblique injury. He will be re-evaluated Wednesday. King threw two-thirds of a scoreless frame before exiting.
