The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

Myers was just optioned Sunday but is eligible to be recalled because he's taking the active roster spot of an injured player in lefty Jose Quintana (shoulder), who was placed on the 15-day injured list. The right-hander is likely to slide into Quintana's rotation slot this weekend against the Twins. Myers holds a 3.86 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 11:10 K:BB across 16.1 innings covering five starts with the Brewers this season.

The Brewers placed Quintana on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left shoulder impingement.

Quintana experienced soreness in his pitching shoulder after his last start. While the Brewers had seemed optimistic about Quintana's ability to start this weekend on a few extra days of rest, the club has ultimately decided to put the southpaw on the IL. Quintana will be eligible for activation May 26, but it's unclear whether he'll be ready on that date. Tobias Myers has been recalled and will likely take Quintana's spot in the rotation.

The Mariners placed Miller on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to right elbow inflammation.

Miller wasn't known to be nursing an elbow injury, but this issue may explain in part why he labored during his latest start against the Blue Jays on Sunday, when he served up a season-high seven runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings. According to Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com, general manager Justin Hollander said that Miller received a cortisone shot Tuesday to treat the injury, and the Mariners are optimistic that he'll be ready to return from the IL when first eligible May 27. Seattle called up lefty Jhonathan Diaz from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move, and he could take Miller's spot in the rotation this weekend in San Diego if he's not needed in relief in Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Robberse is set to undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Robberse missed time during the second half of last season with an elbow injury and recent imaging showed that he needs to have the elbow surgically repaired. Given the timing of the procedure, he will likely be sidelined until around midseason next year. Robberse holds a 4.96 ERA and 139:59 K:BB over 134.1 innings at the Triple-A level.

Means (elbow) is expected to begin throwing bullpen sessions at some point this month, MLB.com reports.

As of April 30, Means had been responding well since starting up his throwing program, and he had increased his throwing distance off flat ground to 120 feet. Assuming he's avoided any setbacks in his recovery from Tommy John surgery over the ensuing two weeks, he could take the next step forward in the rehab process by getting back on the mound. Means still has multiple checkpoints to hit, but a late-season return from the 60-day injured list remains a possibility for the veteran lefty.

Fitts (pectoral) has been throwing up-and-down bullpen sessions and is expected to be cleared to face hitter soon, MLB.com reports.

Fitts is a month removed from landing on the 15-day injured list with a right pectoral strain and has progressed well lately. The right-hander will require a rehab assignment before being activated and might be optioned to Triple-A Worcester rather than rejoining the Red Sox.

Single-A Fredericksburg reinstated Sykora (hip) from its 7-day injured list Wednesday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Sykora made two rehab starts in the rookie-level Florida Complex League after recovering from hip labrum surgery, permitting just one run with a 14:1 K:BB over five innings. The 21-year-old has some of the best upside of any pitching prospect in the minors and will make his 2025 debut for Fredericksburg on Wednesday.

Petty is listed as the Reds' probable starting pitcher for Saturday's game against the Guardians in Cincinnati.

After being called up from Triple-A Louisville last weekend, Petty made his second MLB start in a 6-0 loss to the Astros on Sunday, when he was charged with four earned runs on six hits and six walks over four innings. Though he now holds a 21.94 ERA and 3.94 WHIP through his first two big-league outings, Petty will nonetheless get a second straight turn through the rotation while the Reds are short on appealing alternatives following Hunter Greene's (groin) recent move to the injured list. Rhett Lowder (forearm) has made two rehab starts and could be ready to return from the IL by the end of the month, so Petty may be at risk of losing his spot with the big club if he continues to languish Saturday and in any other starts that might follow.

Double-A Altoona placed Solometo on the 60-day injured list May 7 with a left shoulder injury.

He logged a 0.90 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and seven strikeouts in 10 innings across his first two starts, but he hasn't pitched since April 12. Solometo has a deceptive delivery from the left side, which will have to make up for modest overall stuff if he is to make it as a starting pitcher.

Single-A Bradenton placed Mueth on the 7-day injured list April 13 with an undisclosed injury.

There's no official report on his injury, but Anthony Murphy of Bucs on Deck reports that Mueth threw a pitch in his April 13 start and then looked to be in pain, holding around his armpit on his throwing side, so this could end up being a serious arm injury. Mueth was charged with three earned runs without recording an out in that final appearance, and he gave up five earned runs in four innings in his first start for the Marauders, so he sits with an 18.00 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in four innings. The No. 67 overall pick in 2023, Mueth has big-time strikeout stuff, but he walked more batters (24) than he struck out (23) in 22.2 innings at Single-A in 2024.
