  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Phillies' Trea Turner: Delivers three hits in win

Turner went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Royals.

Turner had gone 0-for-16 over his previous four games before snapping the slump in a big way Saturday. All three of his hits were singles in this contest, but he also delivered multiple RBI for the third time in his last 14 games. The shortstop got his batting average back over .300 -- he's hitting .302 with an .810 OPS, 14 home runs, 46 RBI, 67 runs scored and 14 stolen bases across 88 contests this season.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Twins' Carlos Correa: Ruled out through August

Correa (heel) will not return from the 10-day injured list before the end of August, as he has not been able to run with cleats on or at full speed, Bobby Nightengale of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports

On a positive note, Correa was able to run at about 80 percent intensity for 30 yards while wearing tennis shoes, so he at least looks to be taking a step in the right direction in his recovery from plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Correa was initially placed on the injured list over the All-Star break and was expected to be in line for an abbreviated absence, but he's now missed more than two months due to a lack of progress.

  • Giants' Tyler Fitzgerald: Swipes two bags in win

Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Mariners.

The shortstop has grown comfortable in the leadoff spot for the Giants. Fitzgerald is batting .307 (27-for-88) through 21 games in August with five homers, nine steals, 10 RBI and 14 runs. Despite the fact that he didn't take over a full-time role until after the All-Star break, the 26-year-old has a legitimate shot at a 20-20 campaign, as he's up to 14 homers and 16 steals in only 68 contests.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: On base four times in win

Adames went 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-5 win over the A's.

The shortstop has been displaying incredible plate discipline of late, drawing two walks in four of the last five games -- something he hadn't done even once since July 22. Adames' steal was his 14th of the year, adding to his new career high, and through 21 contests in August he's batting .270 (20-for-74) with five homers, two stolen bases, 14 RBI and 17 runs.

  • Zach McKinstry 3B | DET

Tigers' Zach McKinstry: Smacks fourth home run

McKinstry went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 13-4 win against the White Sox.

McKinstry went deep off John Brebbia in the ninth inning, his first home run since July 7. McKinstry in the middle of a five-game hitting streak with five RBI and two stolen bases in that stretch. The 29-year-old utility man sees sporadic playing time and carries a paltry .603 OPS through 90 games this season.

  • Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Drives in two, swipes bag

De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, three runs and a stolen base in Saturday's 10-2 win over the Pirates.

De La Cruz filled the stat sheet once again with a pair of RBI, three runs and his 61st stolen base of the season. De La Cruz's RBI double in the sixth was his 59th extra-base hit this season, one away from making him just the 10th player since 1901 with a season of 60 extra-base hits and 60 stolen bases. The 22-year-old is in the midst of another strong week with a home run, five RBI, seven runs and two stolen bases in six games.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Begins rehab assignment

Crawford (finger) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, Tacoma broadcaster Mike Curto reports.

Crawford took batting practice with the Mariners on Friday and was sent out on a rehab assignment afterward. The shortstop has been on the shelf since July 24 with a hairline fracture of his right pinky finger and it's unclear how many rehab outings he'll require before being activated.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Taking seat Saturday

Walls is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Walls had started six of the Rays' last seven games, but he'll give way to Jose Caballero at shortstop Saturday. Walls is 11-for-48 (.229) with five runs, six stolen bases and more walks (six) than strikeouts (four) in August.

  • Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA

Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Imaging negative, DTD

Imaging on Edwards' lower back came back negative Saturday, and he's considered day-to-day, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Edwards was removed from Friday's game against the Cubs due to a lower-back injury he sustained while attempting to steal a base. Considering Saturday's testing didn't reveal any significant injury, Edwards shouldn't miss more than a few games -- if he misses time at all. The Marlins close out a home series against the Cubs on Sunday before heading out on a seven-game road trip.

  • Mason McCoy SS | SD

Padres' Mason McCoy: Seeing regular playing time

McCoy is batting ninth and playing shortstop Saturday against the Mets.

Saturday's contest will be McCoy's third consecutive start at shortstop, as he's seemingly supplanted Tyler Wade as the Padres' replacement for Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder). Since being called up Wednesday, McCoy is 3-for-8 with two runs and an RBI.
