Oliveto (toe) has gone 3-for-13 with a triple, five walks, two RBI and two runs in five games since being assigned to the rookie-level Florida Complex League after being reinstated from Single-A Lakeland's injured list.

Oliveto had already been on a rehab assignment in the FCL prior to being activated from the IL, going 8-for-37 (.216 average) with an 8:6 BB:K over 12 games. The 19-year-old catcher has shown a discerning eye at the plate through 17 total FCL games with a 20.6 percent walk rate across 63 plate appearances. He could get the chance to debut for Lakeland later on this season.

The Athletics selected White's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

White has quickly ascended the ranks of the Athletics' farm system since being drafted 40th overall in 2024, and he'll now get a chance to contribute for the big club after slashing .303/.345/.489 with nine homers, 47 RBI and 44 runs in 55 games at Las Vegas. The 23-year-old will help bolster the Athletics' corner-infield depth and could even make a handful of starts while both Nick Kurtz (thumb) and Zack Gelof (knee) are on the injured list.

Donovan (groin) will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Wednesday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Donovan was initially expected to begin his assignment in rookie ball earlier this month, but after several extra days of working out at the Mariners' Arizona complex, he's finally been cleared to test his strained left groin in a competitive setting. The 29-year-old has been on the shelf for nearly two full months, so the M's are likely to keep him in the minors for an extended period of time before adding him back to the active roster.

The Athletics optioned Meneses to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Meneses went 1-for-6 in two games after being recalled from Triple-A on Friday, and he'll now lose his place on the active roster to make room for Donovan Walton, who was claimed off waivers from the Angels over the weekend. Meneses boasts a .347/.398/.546 slash line through 71 games in the minors, though he isn't likely to serve as more than bench depth if he makes it back to the big leagues this year.

The Athletics recalled Basso from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Basso has given up six earned runs in just 4.1 innings with the A's this season, and he's surrendered four runs in nine frames at Las Vegas since making his last MLB appearance June 14. He'll presumably be limited to low-leverage situations while with the big club.

The Athletics optioned Serven to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

After coming up from Triple-A to bolster the Athletics' bench depth for the final weekend before the All-Star break, Serven will now return to Las Vegas to begin the second half. The 31-year-old backstop is likely to spend most of what's left of the season in the minors, where he's slashing .308/.403/.525 across 236 plate appearances.

The Athletics optioned Barnett to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Barnett ended the first half by giving up three runs in one inning Friday against the White Sox. Now sporting a 4.64 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 21.1 frames in the big leagues, he'll head back to Las Vegas to begin the second half.

The Athletics selected Tur's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Tur will join the big club after turning in a 4.41 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 51 innings at Las Vegas during the first half of the season. The A's have an opening in their rotation after pushing Aaron Civale off the 26-man and 40-man rosters, but Tur has pitched just one frame in six of his last seven minor-league appearances, so he'll most likely work out of the bullpen to begin his major-league career.

General manager Dana Brown said Wednesday that Burrows (elbow) is expected to begin throwing off a mound within the next 7-to-10 days, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Burrows was placed on the injured list Monday due to right elbow neuritis. He remains without an official return timeline, though the fact that he's at least a week out from resuming bullpen work suggests that he won't be ready to return after the 15-day minimum. Once he's healthy, the Astros are likely to option him back to Triple-A Sugar Land, which is where he was poised to go prior to the injury.

Akin (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery Wednesday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Dr. Keith Meister performed the surgery after Akin sought out a second opinion on his left elbow. He was originally diagnosed with inflammation, but the problem was obviously much worse. Akin will miss the remainder of the 2026 season and likely most of the 2027 campaign. The 31-year-old appeared in 24 games (two starts) for the Orioles this season, logging a 5.68 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB across 25.1 innings.
