The Blue Jays acquired Woods Richardson from the Twins on Wednesday in exchange for cash, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Minnesota designated Woods Richardson for assignment last weekend after he put up a 7.74 ERA and 1.89 WHIP over 47.2 innings. He'll reclaim a 40-man roster spot upon rejoining the Blue Jays organization, with whom he spent parts of three seasons in the minors. Woods Richardson could fill an immediate need for the big club in the rotation or as a long-relief arm, as the Blue Jays currently have 10 pitchers on the injured list.

Neto (neck) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Wednesday will mark the Angels' third consecutive game without Neto in the starting nine while he battles whiplash. Manager Kurt Suzuki said the decision to sit him down was precautionary, per Bollinger, so it doesn't seem like the team is worried about the 25-year-old's injury leading to a stint on the IL. Oswald Peraza will pick up another start at shortstop; meanwhile, Neto will have a team off day to recover ahead of Friday's series opener versus the Dodgers.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-1 loss to the Mets.

Crawford was responsible for three of the Mariners' six hits Wednesday and their lone run -- the shortstop led off the home half of the first inning with a 409-foot blast off Freddy Peralta for his 10th homer of the year and fourth in the last nine games. Crawford's boosted his slash line to .224/.351/.406 across 231 plate appearances with 30 runs scored and 23 RBI this season.

Kirby (5-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Mets, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk across four innings. He struck out five.

Kirby was decent early, holding New York to one run through his first three frames, but he faded in the fourth, when he allowed four runs on four hits. The loss is Kirby's third in his last four starts -- he's struggled to a 7.29 ERA across 21 innings in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.04 on the year with a 1.28 WHIP and 64:18 K:BB through 13 starts (78 innings). Kirby will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively scheduled to come next week in Baltimore.

The Angels transferred d'Arnaud (foot) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

D'Arnaud has been on the injured list since May 8 due to right foot plantar fasciitis, so his move to the 60-day IL will guarantee he remains sidelined through the beginning of July. Sebastian Rivero will continue to work as the Angels' backup catcher until then, and Shaun Anderson will claim the open spot on the 40-man roster.

The Angels optioned Aldegheri to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

After pitching 5.1 shutout innings out of the bullpen in Tuesday's contest, Aldegheri will head back to Triple-A to make room for Shaun Anderson, who was selected to the active roster in a corresponding move. Aldegheri now owns a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 11 innings in the majors and could get another look with the Halos later this year.

The Angels selected Anderson's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Since being demoted to Triple-A in late April, Anderson has posted a 4.30 ERA and 1.61 WHIP alongside a 25:11 K:BB across 23 innings. Although that performance wasn't been particularly inspiring, the Angels will bring him back onto the active roster to give the team a fresh arm in the bullpen, replacing Sam Aldegheri. Travis d'Arnaud (foot) was transferred to the 60-day IL to free up a spot on the 40-man roster.

Perkins will rejoin the Athletics' rotation and start Friday's game against the Astros, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

With Aaron Civale (shoulder) and Luis Severino (shoulder) both set to spend several more weeks on the injured list, the A's will move Perkins out of the bullpen to fill the open spot in the rotation. The 26-year-old has been operating as a long reliever all season, posting a 5.46 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 28 innings. He has just four appearances this season of more than two innings, but he worked up to 4.2 frames against the Mariners last week.

Arias (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus on Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Arias has been on the shelf since early April due to a strained left hamstring, but a week after resuming baseball activities, he's now ready to test his hamstring in a competitive setting. He's likely to require an extended rehab assignment because he's been out for so long, but he should be able to return from the IL by the end of June.

Bradley (5-2) took the loss Wednesday, giving up four runs on seven hits and five walks over 4.2 innings as the Twins fell 8-0 to the White Sox. He struck out five.

The right-hander managed to get 63 of his 104 pitches into the strike zone, but Bradley's five free passes tied his career-worst mark, which he set as a rookie with the Rays in September 2023. Since coming off the IL on May 23, Bradley has stumbled to a 5.93 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 18:13 K:BB over 13.2 innings, suggesting he may not be 100 percent recovered from the pectoral issue. Prior to the injury, he had a 2.87 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through his first eight starts of the campaign.
