Chisholm went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 4-2 win against Boston on Thursday.

Chisholm produced the only run against Red Sox starter Payton Tolle with a solo blast to right field in the fifth inning. That was Chisholm's first long ball of the campaign after a 23-game homerless drought. The veteran infielder also logged his second multi-hit effort in the past three days after not collecting more than one hit in any of his first 21 contests. Chisholm is still slashing a meager .188/.274/.282, but he's showing signs of busting out of what has been a rough opening month of the season.

Tolle allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out 11 batters over six innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Thursday.

Tolle looked dominant against a tough Yankees lineup, racking up 18 swinging strikes and a career-high 11 punchouts. The southpaw gave up a solo homer to Jazz Chisholm in the fifth inning, but the Yankees managed just two other hits (both singles) against him. Tolle was called up Thursday to take the rotation spot of Sonny Gray, who is on the injured list with a hamstring issue. With Gray slated to miss about two more weeks, at minimum, Tolle should get an opportunity to make additional starts for the big-league club. If he's anywhere near as effective as he was Thursday, the Red Sox may have no choice but to keep Tolle in the big-league rotation.

Bednar earned a save against the Red Sox on Thursday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Bednar was called upon to protect a 4-2 lead after Cam Schlittler tossed eight innings for New York. Bednar breezed through his frame, setting down the side in order on 11 pitches (eight strikes). The veteran closer was shaky at times early in the campaign and had a 5.40 ERA through his first seven outings, but he's since logged four consecutive scoreless appearances, during which he's given up just one hit and registered a 5:1 K:BB over four frames. Bednar is tied for second in MLB with seven saves on the campaign.

Schlittler (3-1) earned the win over Boston on Thursday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out five batters over eight innings.

Schlittler gave up an unearned run in the second inning and a solo homer in the fifth, but that was all the damage Boston managed against him. The right-hander completed eight frames for the first time in his big-league career, doing so on an efficient 96 pitches (69 strikes). In addition to picking up his third win, Schlittler notched his second straight quality start and third overall this season. He's yet to give up more than three runs in any of his six starts and has posted a superb 1.77 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 41:4 K:BB over 35.2 innings.

Benintendi went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 4-1 win over Arizona.

Benintendi played the part of hero for the White Sox on Thursday, clubbing a go-ahead homer in the ninth inning. The blast was the second of the young campaign for the veteran outfielder, who's been struggling to command much fantasy attention. He's slashing just .216/.266/.392 with seven extra-base hits, 10 RBI and eight runs scored across 79 trips to the plate.

Dominguez picked up the save Thursday against the Diamondbacks, throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out two.

The right-hander retired the side with relative ease Thursday, throwing eight of his 12 pitches for strikes. That's now three straight scoreless outings for Dominguez, who owns a 5.00 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 12:8 K:BB over his first nine innings while converting five of his seven save opportunities as Chicago's closer.

Martin took a no-decision Thursday against the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on six hits and one walk in 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

The 29-year-old right-hander continues to be a bright spot for White Sox to begin the 2026 campaign. Martin fanned a season-high seven Thursday, spinning at least six frames while yielding two runs or fewer in his fourth consecutive start. He holds an outstanding 2.01 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB over 31.1 innings thus far, so Martin will be hoping to keep the good times rolling in his next scheduled outing versus the Angels.

Anthony (back) is hopeful that he'll be able to play Friday against the Orioles, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Anthony was forced to miss Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Yankees with a back injury, marking his second straight absence. The outfielder spoke with the media following the defeat, indicating that he felt tightness in his upper back after hitting a line drive in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to New York, but he's now feeling much better. Anthony is hoping to make his return to action Friday, but he'll need to check out OK in the morning to gain clearance.

Roden has a labrum tear in his right shoulder, Dan Hayes of The Athletic

Roden is expected to rest and rehab the injury for the next four weeks, ultimately avoiding surgery for the time being. The outfielder has produced a .275 average with three home runs, 15 RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases over 69 at-bats in 19 contests with Triple-A St. Paul so far this season.

Cole (elbow) pitched 4.1 innings, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out four in his rehab start with High-A Hudson on Thursday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Cole was able to limit the damage in his second rehab outing, throwing 42 of his 52 total pitches for strikes. The right-hander is expected to require multiple more starts to build up his workload before making his return to the major-league roster, and it's unclear where his next stop will be on his minor-league rehab assignment.
