Neto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's extra-inning loss to Houston.

Neto came up big in the seventh inning, slugging a solo shot to give the Angels a 4-3 lead. The talented young shortstop has now gone deep in each of his past three games, though those are his only hits during that span, and they've been accompanied by seven strikeouts. That's pretty indicative of how the season has gone for Neto -- he's batting an uninspiring .231 with a 30.4 percent strikeout rate through 64 contests, yet 28 of his 58 hits have gone for extra bases (14 doubles, one triple and 13 homers). He also has 10 thefts and is one of 11 big-leaguers so far with double-digit long balls and steals.

Mancini went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI in an extra-inning loss to the Astros on Monday.

Mancini was brought up to the big-league club earlier Monday and started at first base in his first MLB appearance since 2023. The 34-year-old singled home a run in his initial plate appearance and later came around to score. He added two more singles to finish as the only Angels player with multiple knocks. Mancini may be in for a fair amount of run in the starting lineup. as Vaughn Grissom was placed on the 10-day IL on Monday due to an oblique strain while Nolan Schanuel continues to deal with a lingering ankle injury.

Buehler did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing one run on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in a 6-2 victory over the Reds. He struck out four.

Buehler allowed plenty of traffic on the bases, which prevented him from working deep into the contest, though the right-hander was able to limit the damage before exiting with one out remaining in the fifth inning. It hasn't always been pretty, but the 31-year-old has quietly allowed two or fewer runs in five of his past six starts. Buehler will carry a 3-3 record with a 4.33 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 53:22 K:BB across 62.1 innings (13 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Orioles.

Yates blew a save chance against the Astros on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one inning.

With the Angels up 5-4 entering the ninth inning, manager Kurt Suzuki turned to Yates to shut the door. The veteran right-hander couldn't do so, as Jeremy Pena led off the inning with a walk, stole second base and came around to score on a one-out Christian Walker single. Monday marked Yates' first save opportunity since he logged his lone save May 23, but that's largely due to the Angels' struggles as a team, as the club as a whole has zero saves since then. Though Yates has pitched to a poor 5.23 ERA this season, Suzuki seemed to commit to giving him more ninth-inning opportunities moving forward, saying after the game, "We signed him to be our closer, and we're going to give him a chance to close," per Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.

Rodriguez allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Monday.

Rodriguez was pummeled in his previous start, giving up eight runs (seven earned) over 3.2 innings against Colorado. It was thus promising to see the right-hander respond with a much better performance Monday, as he racked up a season-high six punchouts while giving up an acceptable two earned runs. Rodriguez took a 3-1 lead into the sixth inning, but he appeared to run out of steam in that frame, as he gave up three doubles and two runs before departing with one out. Two very poor outings through five starts have Rodriguez at an ugly 8.10 ERA on the campaign, but he'll try to build some positive momentum in his next appearance, which is lined up to be a home matchup against Tampa Bay.

Abreu notched a save against the Angels on Monday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter over one scoreless inning.

Josh Hader was deployed with the score tied in the bottom of the ninth inning and struck out the side in order. After Houston plated a run in the top of the 10th, manager Joe Espada turned to Abreu, whose last save had come May 19. The right-hander got the job done with some help from his defense -- Jose Siri singled off Abreu to lead off the frame, but Brice Matthews threw Mike Trout out at home plate. With Hader back in action, Abreu isn't likely to get many save chances moving forward, but he should be an option on days when Hader is unavailable.

Arrighetti tossed six innings against the Angels on Monday, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out seven batters in a no-decision.

It was a bit of a mixed bag for Arrighetti, as he issued four free passes and unfurled a wild pitch but also racked up 12 whiffs and seven punchouts. The right-hander held things down well outside of the second inning, which is when the Angels scored all three of their runs against him. Though those trio of earned runs marked the second-most Arrighetti has surrendered in an outing this season, he nonetheless finished with his fifth quality start of the campaign. Overall, Arrighetti has enjoyed an excellent season to this point, posting a 7-1 record along with a 2.21 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 53:31 K:BB across 57 frames spanning 10 starts.

Corbin (2-3) took the loss against Philadelphia on Monday, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three batters over three innings.

Corbin got through a scoreless first inning but served up a two-run homer to Adolis Garcia in the second. Things got even worse for the veteran lefty in the third, as he yielded three runs on two hits, three walks and a hit-by-pitch. That was all Blue Jays manager John Schneider could handle, as he turned to the bullpen to begin the fourth. Overall, Corbin threw just 44 of 79 pitches for strikes and issued a season-high four free passes. After getting through May with a solid 3.65 ERA through 10 starts, he's taken a big step back to begin June, yielding nine runs over eight frames across his first two outings of the month. With Dylan Cease (hamstring) and Max Scherzer (forearm) set to come off the IL this week and Shane Bieber (elbow) not far behind them, Corbin's time in the rotation is quickly drawing to a close.

Naylor went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and an additional run scored in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles.

Naylor extended his hitting streak to four games Monday, and he's now hit safely in 11 of his last 13 outings. The slugging first baseman was hitting just .118 for the year through April 16, but he's turned it around in a big way. Over his last 186 plate appearances (43 games) , Naylor is batting .325 with five home runs, seven doubles, 23 RBI and 12 stolen bases to boost his season OPS to .699.

Duran earned a save over the Blue Jays on Monday, allowing one hit over a scoreless inning.

Duran had a three-run lead to work with when he entered in the ninth frame and needed just nine pitches to record three outs. The fireballing right-hander notched his eighth straight scoreless outing, and he's converted all 16 of his save opportunities this season. Duran recorded a career-high 32 regular-season saves last year, and he's currently on pace to exceed that mark. His 1.25 ERA and 0.83 WHIP are also tracking toward career-best numbers.
