The Pirates placed Johnson on the minor-league 7-day injured list Tuesday due to a left knee injury, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Johnson left Saturday's game for Triple-A Indianapolis after four innings due to the knee issue. He appeared to have suffered the injury while he stumbled over the first-base bag while trying to leg out an infield single. The 22-year-old had to be carted off the field with an air cast, but exact details of the injury have not been revealed.

Soderstrom is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Rays.

Soderstrom will ride the pine for the second game of a three-game set against Tampa Bay after going 1-for-5 with an RBI double, a run scored and two strikeouts Monday. Zack Gelof will move over to left field and bat second for the A's.

The Pirates reinstated Yorke (shoulder) from the minor-league 7-day injured list Tuesday, Dominic Campbell of SI.com reports.

Yorke was on the 7-day injured list since June 18 due to a shoulder injury. He has rejoined Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday after spending his rehab assignment with Single-A Bradenton.

Lukes is now in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with Boston.

After originally not being in the lineup for Tuesday's game with the Red Sox, Lukes will enter the starting nine after Kazuma Okamoto was a late scratch. Lukes will round out the bottom of the order and play right field as Brett Bateman slides over to center field for Toronto.

The Brewers signed Wilson to a one-year contract Tuesday.

Wilson had lost his roster spot with the Brewers on Aug. 8 when he was designated for assignment in favor of Lyon Richardson. However, The Brewers are designating Richardson for assignment Tuesday in favor of Wilson. Wilson has a 4.24 ERA across 23.1 innings on the season.

Toronto scratched Okamoto (knee) from Tuesday's lineup against the Red Sox.

Despite originally being listed in the starting lineup, Okamoto will not start Tuesday's affair against Boston and will continue to nurse his left knee contusion. Charles McAdoo will replace Okamoto at third base and will lead off for Toronto.

The Brewers designated Richardson for assignment Tuesday.

Richardson appeared in one game after getting called up from Triple-A on Saturday, during which he gave up zero hits and a walk over 1.2 scoreless innings. He'll now lose his place on the active and 40-man rosters to make room for Bryse Wilson, who signed a major-league deal with the Crew on Tuesday.

The Yankees placed Castro on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to Monday, with right elbow neuritis.

In a corresponding move Tuesday, the Yankees recalled Bradley Hanner from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Castro had made three appearances since getting recalled Aug. 3. In that stretch, he allowed no runs on one hit and a 4:2 K:BB across 3.2 innings.

Hanner is set for his first career big-league stint after being called up to the Yankees on Tuesday. With Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the 27-year-old owns a 6-2 record, 2.10 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 61:24 K:BB in 51.1 innings this season. The Yankees sent Kervin Castro (elbow) to the 15-day injured list to make room for Hanner in the bullpen.

Perdomo (knee) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Perdomo was removed from Monday's game against Colorado with left knee soreness and needs another day to recover. With Perdomo on the bench, Ildemaro Vargas is starting at shortstop and batting eighth Tuesday.
