Martin will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Orioles.

Martin has now made seven of his last eight starts out of the leadoff spot, as the Twins continue to deploy him as their table setter versus left-handed starting pitchers. The 27-year-old has produced an impressive 124 wRC+ in 150 plate appearances versus lefties, but his struggles against right-handed pitching (.224/.303/.276 slash line, 67 wRC+ over 175 plate appearances) will hinder his efforts to break out of a short-side platoon role.

Roden is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

The left-handed-hitting Roden will hit the bench for the third time in four games, with each of his absences coming against left-handed starting pitchers. Roden has gone just 7-for-41 (.171 average) versus righties this season, but he could nonetheless be in store for a strong-side platoon role in the Minnesota outfield while Byron Buxton (hip) remains on the injured list.

Larnach is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Left-hander Trevor Rogers is on the hill for the Orioles in the series opener, so the Twins will send Larnach and fellow left-handed hitters Kody Clemens and Alan Roden to the bench to stock up on some extra right-handed bats. Austin Martin will replace Larnach in left field and will bat leadoff Monday.

Left-hander Trevor Rogers is on the hill for the Orioles in the series opener, so the Twins will send Clemens and fellow left-handed hitters Trevor Larnach and Alan Roden to the bench to stock up on some extra right-handed bats. Clemens owns a 76 wRC+ against left-handed pitching over parts of five seasons in the majors but has been more effective in those matchups in 2026, slashing .229/.282/.448 over 104 plate appearances.

Mathis (undisclosed) has gone 1-for-11 with a double, three walks, two RBI and a run scored in three games for High-A Brooklyn since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Acquired from the Cubs in a June 25 deal that sent left-hander David Peterson back to Chicago, Mathis didn't make his Mets organizational debut until July 23 while he recovered from an unspecified injury that had kept him on the shelf at High-A South Bend since June 21. After appearing in six rehab games between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A St. Lucie, Mathis was given the green light to join the Mets' South Atlantic League affiliate.

Reimer (groin) has gone 3-for-16 with one walk, four RBI and three runs in four games for Double-A Binghamton since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Reimer had been on the shelf since June 18 while recovering from a groin strain. The 22-year-old third baseman has turned in a .212/.318/.379 slash line with six home runs and 12 stolen bases over 54 games with Binghamton on the season.

Rodriguez (thumb) has gone 6-for-19 with a double, seven walks, three RBI and one run in six games for High-A Cedar Rapids since resuming his rehab assignment Tuesday.

Rodriguez remains on Triple-A St. Paul's 60-day injured list while he makes his way back from the surgery he underwent on his left thumb in late May, but he looks to be closing in on a return to International League action. The 23-year-old outfielder experienced soreness in his thumb coming out of a July 30 rehab game at Single-A Fort Myers, but he was cleared to return to action with Cedar Rapids after four days of rest and recovery.

Fedko announced via his personal Instagram account that he underwent season-ending surgery Friday to repair a torn ACL, MCL and LCL in his left knee, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Triple-A St. Paul placed him on its 7-day injured list Aug. 3.

Fedko sustained the multi-ligament injury while playing for St. Paul on Aug. 2, when he went down while pursing a flyball in the outfield. The 26-year-old got the chance to make his big-league debut earlier in the summer, going 0-for-16 with two walks, one run and one RBI in 14 games for the Twins before being optioned to Triple-A on July 10. Given the nature of his knee surgery, Fedko's availability for the start of spring training could be affected, and the injury may also influence the Twins' decision to tender him a contract heading into 2027.

Scull (undisclosed) has gone 5-for-16 with two doubles, a walk, a stolen base, two runs and an RBI in five games for Double-A Rocket City since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list July 31.

Scull was on the shelf for about three and a half weeks due to the unspecified injury. The 22-year-old outfielder is slashing .246/.295/.333 with one home run and one steal in 17 games at the Double-A level since being promoted from High-A Tri-City on June 9.

Giolito (elbow) has been throwing at the Padres' team complex in Arizona, but his timeline to return is unclear, MLB.com reports.

Giolito landed on the injured list June 23 due to right elbow inflammation but was able to resume light throwing within a week. However, the veteran pitcher hasn't yet progressed to facing hitters, and it's unclear how far away a minor-league rehab assignment may be. By the time Giolito is ready to rejoin the Padres, both Joe Musgrove (elbow) and Nick Pivetta (forearm) may have returned to action, which could impact Giolito's place in the rotation following the trade-deadline acquisitions of Robbie Ray and Casey Mize.
