Goodman (finger) will serve as Colorado's designated hitter and bat fourth against the Padres on Saturday.

Goodman didn't start Friday's contest due to a cut on his finger, but he made a pinch-hit appearance in the eighth inning that resulted in an RBI single and eventually came around to score. He'll return to the lineup Saturday as a DH, keeping Brett Sullivan behind the plate. Goodman is slashing .255/.340/.404 with two homers, five RBI and 10 runs scored through his first 14 games of 2026.

Lee went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run during the Twins' 7-4 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Lee's solo home run off Eric Lauer in the third inning kick-started the Twins' seven-run frame. Lee has gone deep in back-to-back games and has accrued four RBI over his last three contests. In nine outings since April 1, he has gone 8-for-29 (.276) with six RBI and three runs scored.

Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Saturday's 7-4 loss the Twins.

Sanchez made the score look more respectable after belting a two-run homer off Cole Sands in the ninth inning. It was Sanchez's first home run since March 29 against the Athletics, and the long shot extended his hitting streak to four games. Over that span, he has gone 4-for-16 (.250) with three doubles, a homer, four RBI and two runs scored.

The Astros recalled Murray from Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday.

Murray has given up just one earned run over six innings to begin the season in Triple-A and will presumably take on a middle-relief role now that he's with Houston. J.P. France was optioned to Sugar Land in a corresponding move.

Larnach went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run during the Twins' 7-4 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

The Twins scored all seven of their runs in the third inning, which Larnach capped off with a 398-foot, three-run homer to right field off Eric Lauer. It was Larnach's first home run of the 2026 season and first game with a RBI since April 3 against the Rays. He has gone 6-for-22 (.273) with five RBI and two doubles to open year.

The Astros optioned France to Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday.

France was promoted from Sugar Land on Friday but will now head back to the minors after giving up four earned runs in just 2.2 innings during his appearance against Seattle. Jayden Murray was recalled in a corresponding move to fill the void in Houston's bullpen.

Ryan (2-1) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out five across seven innings.

Ryan gave up a two-run home run to Daulton Varsho in the first inning, putting the Twins in an early hole. However, Ryan rebounded to keep the Blue Jays off the board over the next six frames, and he came away with the win thanks to his teammates' seven-run third inning. The right-hander recorded 65 strikes on 91 pitches (71.4 percent) while inducing eight groundouts and 10 whiffs. It was Ryan's second consecutive win and first quality start in four outings this year. He'll look to make it three wins in a row in his next start, which is slated for next week at home against the Reds.

Varsho went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during the Blue Jays' 7-4 loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Varsho put the Blue Jays on the board early with a two-run homer off Joe Ryan in the first inning, and those were Toronto's only runs until the ninth. Varsho has gone deep in back-to-back games and is slashing .213/.302/.404 with one steal and five RBI to open the 2026 regular season.

Naughton was diagnosed Saturday with UCL damage to his left elbow after undergoing an MRI, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The 29-year-old lefty suffered the elbow injury during his most recent appearance with Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday. Naughton will seek a second opinion before determining his next steps, but he could be facing another elbow surgery after missing most of 2024 and all of 2025 due to a pair of elbow procedures.

Lauer (1-2) took the loss against the Twins on Saturday, allowing seven runs on five hits and five walks while striking out three across 5.1 innings.

All seven of the runs Lauer gave up during Saturday's contest came in the third inning, highlighted by a solo home run from Brooks Lee and a three-run long shot from Trevor Larnach. Lauer ended up staying in the ball game before being pulled in the sixth in order to give the Blue Jays' bullpen some rest, tossing 95 pitches (53 strikes) while generating only five whiffs and two groundouts. Lauer has struggled to open the 2026 regular season, and through three starts he has yielded 11 earned runs on 11 hits and nine walks while striking out 12 over 12.2 frames. He's slated to start next weekend on the road against the Diamondbacks.
