The undrafted free agent out of TCU has been working toward a potential roster spot since signing with the team in late August. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound tight end was always a long shot to make the roster with Jake Ferguson, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Luke Schoonmaker holding down the top three roles, but an injury that keeps Rogers out of key competitive reps only hurts his chances of making the 53-man roster.

Jackson (undisclosed) reverted from waivers to Philadelphia's injured reserve list Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Jackson was not claimed by another squad after the Eagles waived him with an injury designation Monday, and he now could spend the whole 2026 campaign on IR. Jackson left Saturday's preseason game at New England in an ambulance, but his CT scans came back negative.

Mapu was waived with an injury designation Monday and went unclaimed. The linebacker will now spend the entirety of the 2026 season on IR unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

The Lions released Blackshear (undisclosed) from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Detroit placed Blackshear on its injured reserve list Monday, and the club is now cutting ties with him altogether just one day later. Once he's deemed healthy enough for football activities again, he'll be eligible to suit up for any team willing to sign him.

The Buccaneers waived Calloway (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Calloway reverted to IR last Tuesday and was set to spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season there. The running back likely thinks he can recover from the injury in a timely fashion and sign with another franchise at some point during the season. Calloway has already cleared waivers and is now a free agent who can sign with any organization.

The Chargers waived Grimm (undisclosed) from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Grimm was going to have to spend the entire 2026 season on IR, but now he's on track to become a free agent instead. He spent the majority of the 2025 campaign on the Chargers' practice squad as a rookie undrafted free agent, but he is still waiting to make his regular-season debut.

The Steelers waived Davis on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Davis signed with the Steelers in early June. The wide receiver has not yet appeared in a regular-season game but has spent time with the Broncos' and Vikings' practice squads. Davis will now be placed on waivers, and if he clears will become a free agent able to sign with any team.

Caldwell (knee) reverted to the Chiefs' injured reserve list Tuesday, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.

Caldwell hyperextended his left knee during Wednesday's practice and was promptly waived with an injury designation. The wide receiver will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on injured reserve unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

Cowing (groin) did not participate at the 49ers' training camp practice Tuesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Per Wagoner, coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that he expects Cowing to return to practice next week before the team travels to Australia for its regular-season debut against the Rams. In the meantime, 2025 fourth-rounder Jordan Watkins could be called on to perform punt-return duties with the first team.

Benson (knee) reverted to the Cardinals' injured reserve list Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Benson underwent surgery in early October last year for a meniscus injury he suffered in the Cardinals' Week 4 loss to the Seahawks, but after returning the running back could never get right and he had trouble staying on the practice field. The 24-year-old's struggles, combined with the Cardinals' crowded running back room, caused him to be placed on waivers to begin the week, and there were no takers. If he can fix his knee troubles he could negotiate an injury settlement in an attempt to find another team to play for in 2026.
