Garcia (wrist/hand) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Curtis Mead will make a second straight start at first base in place of Garcia, who is considered day-to-day after making an early exit from Sunday's 3-2 win over the Brewers due to a minor right wrist/hand sprain. According to MLB.com, Garcia isn't expected to require a stint on the injured list, though the club's tune could change if he's not able to return to the lineup for the start of the Nationals' weekend series in Miami.

Stott is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

As is usually the case, the left-handed-hitting Stott will bow out of the lineup Wednesday while the Phillies oppose a lefty starter (Jeffrey Springs). Edmundo Sosa will cover second base in Stott's stead.

Arraez remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres due to a sore thumb, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Per delos Santos, Giants manager Tony Vitello said Tuesday that Arraez's thumb issue initially flared up on the team's previous road trip before rearing its head again during a swing in Monday's 3-2 win in the series opener. The Giants had been hopeful that Arraez would be back in the lineup Wednesday, but he'll instead be given another day off while the team turns to Casey Schmitt at the keystone. Arraez can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Friday's series opener versus the Pirates.

Rengifo is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in St. Louis.

Rengifo had netted six straight starts at third base, but he'll take a seat in Wednesday's matinee. David Hamilton will handle the hot corner and Joey Ortiz will play shortstop for the Brewers.

Stott went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the A's.

The second baseman has had a rough start to the campaign, but Stott appears to be finding a groove. All three of his homers on the year have come in the last five games, and while he's batting just .206 (7-for-34) over the last 10 contests, six of his seven hits have gone for extra bases. Stott's .232 BABIP is more than 50 points lower than his career mark, so if his luck turns on that front and he maintains his current power surge, a big breakout could be on the horizon.

Arraez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Arraez went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs in Monday's series opener but will hit the bench Tuesday after a run of 19 consecutive starts. Casey Schmitt is shifting to second base to open up a spot at designated hitter for top prospect Bryce Eldridge, who made his season debut Monday.

Garcia has been diagnosed with a minor sprain of his right hand/wrist, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

Garcia suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Brewers, forcing his removal. The infielder said Tuesday that he's day-to-day and will not go on the injured list, but he's not in Tuesday's lineup versus the Twins and seems likely to miss additional games. Curtis Mead will receive an uptick in playing time at first base for the Nationals for as long as Garcia is shelved.

Arraez went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored in Monday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

Arraez doubled in the first inning before coming around to score and added another two-bagger in the sixth before scoring San Francisco's final run. Monday's performance marked the first time this season he's recorded multiple extra-base hits in a game, and he now has seven doubles and two triples on the campaign. The 29-year-old infielder is slashing .316/.340/.398 with 14 runs scored, 11 RBI and four stolen bases across 144 plate appearances this season.

Turang went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Turang did his part in sparking a comeback, blasting a two-run homer in the ninth inning to cut the deficit to three. It marked his fifth long ball and fourth three-hit effort of the year, as the second baseman has carried over his breakout 2025 campaign into a hot start to 2026. Through 31 games, the 26-year-old is hitting .304 with a .956 OPS, cementing himself as one of the most consistent and productive hitters in the Brewers lineup.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Edman has been backed off his rehab a bit after feeling residual soreness in his surgically repaired right ankle, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The soreness isn't necessarily unexpected as Edman ramps up his rehab, but it will delay his return from the 10-day injured list. The Dodgers haven't revealed a timetable for Edman to make his season debut, but he now seems unlikely to be activated before the end of May.
