Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Homer, steal in loss
Semien went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Monday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to Baltimore.
Semien's solo shot in the top of the ninth inning gave Texas a lead that closer Joe Barlow was unable to protect. The Rangers, who lead MLB with 66 stolen bases, have encouraged Semien to create havoc on the basepaths, and he's responded with 14 steals (16 attempts). That leaves Semien, who recorded double-digit steals in every season but the pandemic-shortened 2020, one shy of his career high set in 2021. Semien's deep slump to start 2022 appears to be a thing of the past; he's slashed .327/.373/.589 with eight homers, 16 RBI, six steals and 19 runs over the last 26 games.

Luis Arraez 2B | SF
Twins' Luis Arraez: Three hits in Monday's win
Arraez went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 6-3 extra-inning win over the White Sox.
Arraez doubled twice early on and added an RBI single to spark a rally in the 10th inning. The 25-year-old continues to make consistent contact, as this was his seventh multi-hit effort in his last 11 games. He's gone 17-for-47 (.362) with six doubles and a triple in that span. For the season, the versatile defender owns a .348/.422/.453 slash line with four home runs, 28 RBI, 46 runs scored and two stolen bases in 303 plate appearances.

Michael Stefanic 2B | ATH
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Fans three times in MLB debut
Stefanic went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in Sunday's loss to Houston.
Stefanic was called up early Sunday and was immediately slotted into the starting lineup as the team's second baseman. The 26-year-old didn't have a memorable debut, however, as he struck out in all three of his plate appearances. Contact hasn't been a major issue for Stefanic in his minor-league career -- in fact, he fanned only 12 times over 178 plate appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake this season. He's slated to play on a near-everyday basis, and it's reasonable to expect Sunday's strikeout-filled performance to be more of an aberration than his norm moving forward.

Luis Rengifo 3B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Goes deep again Sunday
Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Astros.
Rengifo plated the game's first run with his solo shot to right field in the second inning. The long ball was his third in his past seven contests comprising of 25 at-bats. It also extended his modest hitting streak to four games, during which Rengifo is slashing .357/.357/.857 with two homers and three RBI.

David Villar 1B | SF
Giants' David Villar: Called up by Giants
Villar's contract was purchased from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.
The Giants are down a couple infielders at the moment, so they decided to give Villar a shot to show what he can do at the top level. Villar is not a heralded prospect, but he certainly earned a call-up by posting a 1.043 OPS over 66 games with Sacramento. He will not have to wait to make his big-league debut, as he will man the keystone and hit seventh in Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Sam Haggerty LF | TEX
Mariners' Sam Haggerty: Still not starting
Haggerty isn't in the lineup Monday against the Padres.
Haggerty recently drew four consecutive starts and went 4-for-12 with two doubles, two runs, an RBI and a steal during that time. However, he'll retreat to the bench for a second consecutive game while Marcus Wilson starts in right field and bats ninth.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Mariners' Adam Frazier: Gets breather Monday
Frazier isn't in the lineup Monday against the Padres.
Frazier started in the last seven games and hit .143 with a double, three runs, a walk and three strikeouts. Abraham Toro is starting at the keystone and batting sixth.

Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU
Mets' Luis Guillorme: Riding pine Monday
Guillorme isn't starting Monday against the Reds, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Guillorme is getting a breather after he went 1-for-13 with three strikeouts over the last four games. Jeff McNeil will shift to second base while Dominic Smith serves as the designated hitter Monday.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Steals 13th base
Semien went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in a 4-1 loss to the Mets on Sunday.
Semien hasn't come anywhere close to reproducing his eye-popping numbers from last season, when he set an MLB record for the most home runs by a second baseman with 45. However, he appears to be trying to make things happen on the basepaths as a way to compensate for his lackluster performance at the plate, and he has shown a propensity to run more than ever in 2022. Semien now has 13 stolen bases in 15 attempts, and he is well on pace to break his career-high 20 stolen base attempts in 2018.
