Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Hitting cleanup again

Biggio is starting at second base and batting cleanup Wednesday against the Yankees.

The 28-year-old has a .916 OPS in 13 games since Sept. 4 and will bat cleanup for the second straight contest Wednesday. Biggio's hot bat has resulted in him being a lineup regular so far in September, and he's seen action at first base, second base, third base and right field this month.

  • Blue Jays' Davis Schneider: Takes seat Wednesday

Schneider is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Schneider started the previous 13 games but will receive a day to reset after he posted a .674 OPS and 33.3 percent strikeout rate during that span. Cavan Biggio will man second base while Spencer Horwitz receives a start at first with Vladimir Guerrero serving as the DH.

Red Sox's Luis Urias: Exits with calf tightness

Urias was removed from Wednesday's game against the Rangers due to left calf tightness, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

The 26-year-old has recently been working as Boston's primary second baseman and went 1-for-3 with a strikeout before leaving Wednesday's contest. Urias will have a team day off Thursday to recover before Friday's series opener versus the White Sox.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Marlins' Luis Arraez: Out again with ankle sprain

Arraez (ankle) remains out of the lineup Wednesday versus the Mets.

Arraez was scratched Tuesday after suffering a left ankle sprain while participating in pregame infield practice. It's a positive sign that he has yet to be placed on the 10-day injured list, and the MLB batting average leader (.354) can utilize Thursday's scheduled team off day to hopefully get himself healthy for the Marlins' upcoming three-game weekend set against the Brewers. Jon Berti will fill in at second base and hit eighth in Wednesday's series finale versus New York.

  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Held out again Wednesday

Kim (abdomen) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rockies, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Frazier went 0-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over the Astros.

Frazier has hit pretty well in September, going 11-for-38 (.289) over 15 games with seven RBI and six runs scored in that span. The steal was his first since Aug. 30. The second baseman is holding down a strong-side platoon role with a .246/.305/.408 slash line, 10 steals, 13 home runs, 60 RBI and 58 runs scored over 132 contests this season. Jordan Westburg remains Frazier's biggest competition for playing time.

  • Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
