India left Monday's game against the Mets due to a right hamstring injury, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

India dealt with an injury to his right hamstring earlier in the season, and he ended up missing nearly two months while on the mend, per Goldsmith. However, the severity of the current injury is not yet clear.

Vargas was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Vargas appeared in two games since being recalled Aug. 2, collecting two hits (one double) and two RBI in eight at-bats while also swiping a bag. The Dodgers have yet to announce a corresponding move, but per Ardaya, the club may be preparing to activate Justin Turner (abdomen) from the 10-day injured list.

Arauz (finger) said Monday that he expects to be sidelined at least another two weeks prior to beginning a rehab assignment, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Arauz haș been unavailable since late July due to a fractured finger, but he reiterated Monday that he doesn't expect to require surgery. He hopes he'll be able to swing a bat and throw this week, but it seems unlikely that he'll be cleared to rejoin the Orioles until sometime in late August.

Espinal is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Baltimore.

Espinal will sit out for the third time in five games while he continues to work in a timeshare at the keystone with Cavan Biggio, who is batting ninth Monday. The two may continue to split work at the position until George Springer (elbow) is activated from the 10-day injured list, at which point Whit Merrifield -- who is filling in as the Jays' primary center fielder -- will likely move back to second base.

Haggerty went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in a win over the Angels on Sunday.

Haggerty gave the Mariners some more breathing room with his fifth-inning two-bagger, which brought home Eugenio Suarez. The 28-year-old's bat is sizzling over the last six games, a span during which he's hitting .438 (7-for-16) with two doubles, a home run, two RBI and an additional run.

Bannon was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Monday, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Bannon will return to the organization he was drafted by in 2017 after he was designated for assignment by the Orioles this week. The 26-year-old appeared in four games with Baltimore this year, going 2-for-14 with five strikeouts. Overall, Bannon has produced a .229 average with 11 homers, 58 RBI, 45 runs and six stolen bases over 275 at-bats in 78 games while spending the majority of the season with Triple-A Norfolk.

Guillorme is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

The lefty-hitting Guillorme will take a seat against a right-handed starter (Justin Dunn), but he still appears to be holding down the strong side of platoon at third base with Eduardo Escobar, who is starting Monday for only the second time in the Mets' last eight games. Guillorme, meanwhile, was included in the lineup in each of the last seven contests, a stretch in which the Mets faced six right-handers and one southpaw. He recorded only five hits in 26 at-bats during that span, but the Mets value the smooth defense Guillorme brings in the infield.

Jones (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on July 23 and was placed on the full-season minor-league injured list.

Jones was released by the Orioles in early June, a few days after he underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery. By signing with the Dodgers, Jones will have the ability to conduct his rehab process in a team structure, and depending on how quickly he's able to start throwing again, he could be back to full health for spring training. Jones, 25, appeared in 29 games in the majors between stops with the Angels and Orioles in 2020 and 2021 and slashed .212/.339/.343 in 118 plate appearances at Triple-A Norfolk this season before being cut loose by Baltimore.

Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Astros.

Offense was at a premium in this contest, though the Guardians found more of it than the Astros. Gimenez singled and stole second in the eighth inning with Cleveland looking to pad its lead, but he was left aboard when Owen Miller flied out to end the frame. The steal was Gimenez's first since he ran wild for three steals versus Arizona last Monday. For the season, the second baseman is slashing .299/.364/.481 with 12 home runs, 12 steals, 50 RBI and 42 runs scored through 98 contests.

Massey went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 13-5 win over the Red Sox.

The bottom third of the Royals' lineup combined to go 6-for-9 with nine runs scored and two walks. Massey's biggest contribution was a two-run single to spark the Royals' six-run rally in the eighth inning that turned the game into a laugher. The double was his first extra-base hit in the majors, and he's slashing .348/.375/.391 with a stolen base through his first 24 plate appearances.
