  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Fades into reserve role

Senzel remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.

On the bench for the third time in four games, Senzel doesn't look like he'll be in store for regular starts as the Reds aim to secure a playoff berth during the final week of the regular season. The 25-year-old has yet to get going in a 2020 season full of stops and starts, as he enters Monday's contest with a meager .211/.281/.421 slash line. Expect manager David Bell to roll with Brian Goodwin, Shogo Akiyama and Nick Castellanos as his primary outfielders the rest of the way.

  • Carter Kieboom 3B | CLE

Nationals' Carter Kieboom: Drops to eighth in order

Kieboom will start at third base and will bat eighth Monday against the Phillies.

The Nationals plan to stick with Kieboom as their everyday third baseman the rest of the season, but the early returns from the rookie haven't been overly impressive from a fantasy standpoint. Since becoming a lineup regular Sept. 5, Kieboom has slashed .213/.327/.234 with zero home runs, zero steals, seven runs and four RBI over 15 games.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Twins' Josh Donaldson: On base four times

Donaldson went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Cubs.

Donaldson was good at getting on base, but he wasn't able to generate any runs himself. The 34-year-old has a .243/.380/.514 slash line after the productive outing. He's added six homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored in 25 games.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Two homers Sunday

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Tigers.

Ramirez is somewhat quietly having a monster year -- .284/.369/.574 with 15 home runs and 10 stolen bases. He has to be considered a candidate for the American League MVP, as well as a first-round lock for fantasy drafts next spring.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Could miss remainder of season

Arenado is undergoing tests on a sore left shoulder Sunday and could miss the rest of the 2020 season, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Manager Bud Black said that the team should have more information regarding Arenado's shoulder issue Monday once the results of his tests are known. However, the soreness could force the 29-year-old to miss the final week of the regular season. If he's unable to play, Daniel Murphy and Garrett Hampson could see increased playing time as Ryan McMahon and Josh Fuentes could take over at third base.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Knee injury ends season

The Pirates placed Newman on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a contusion to the peroneal nerve of his left knee, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The injury isn't believed to be especially significant, but the timing of Newman's placement on the IL means his 2020 campaign is over. The 27-year-old took a big step back this season, with his OPS dropping 242 points from his 2019 mark. Newman also failed to record a stolen base after going 16-for-24 on steal attempts last season. Adam Frazier and Erik Gonzalez will likely serve as Pittsburgh's everyday starters in the middle infield the rest of the way.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Not starting against St. Louis

Hayes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

The rookie went 2-for-4 with a double and homer in Saturday's 5-4 loss. JT Riddle will take Hayes' spot at third base in the series finale.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: On bench Sunday

Arenado is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Ryan McMahon will take over at third base as Kevin Pillar serves as the DH against right-hander Tony Gonsolin. Arenado recently dealt with an AC joint injury in his left shoulder, though there has been nothing yet to suggest this absence is directly related. Arenado is batting .218/.271/.309 with one home run so far in September.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Out of Sunday's lineup

Urshela is not in the lineup Sunday against the Red Sox.

Urshela is on a five-game hit streak since being activated from the injured list Tuesday and is 7-for-21 with two doubles and two walks during that stretch, but he'll receive a breather Sunday. DJ LeMahieu will shift to third base while Tyler Wade covers the keystone.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Sitting again Sunday

Senzel is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Senzel had a double in Saturday's game, his first hit since coming off the injured list Monday (1-for-10). It's probably best to view Brian Goodwin as the Reds' primary center fielder, at least until Senzel is closer to full speed following his month-long absence.
