He continues to improve at the plate as he shakes off a slow start to the campaign. Overall, the 24-year-old is slashing .231/.280/.388 with four home runs, 20 RBI, 15 runs scored and eight steals through 30 contests this season.

Cubs' Christopher Morel: Nabs second steal
Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Mets.
The steal was his second of the season, and both pilfers have come in his last eight contests. Morel is struggling to get going with his bat, however -- through 29 games he's slashing a meager .215/.292/.374 with four homers, 14 RBI and 17 runs.

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Absent from lineup Tuesday
Muncy is not in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.
Muncy started against southpaw Tommy Henry on Monday but will take a seat with lefty Jordan Montgomery on the bump for Arizona on Tuesday. Despite the Dodgers scoring eight runs against the Diamondbacks in Monday's win, the third baseman went hitless across five plate appearances. Enrique Hernandez will get the start at third and bat sixth Tuesday.

Astros' Grae Kessinger: Heads to 10-day IL
Kessinger was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with right shoulder discomfort, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Kessinger has only been featured in the Astros' starting lineup once this season and remains hitless through 10 plate appearances across eight games. Joey Loperfido will take Kessinger's spot on the active roster and is part of Houston's starting lineup Tuesday.

Mets' Mark Vientos: Heads back to minors
The Mets optioned Vientos to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Vientos contributed a walk-off home run in Sunday's extra-innings win over the Cardinals but now finds himself back in the minors as Starling Marte returns to the active roster. With J.D. Martinez with the club and Brett Baty absorbing most of the at-bats at third base, there's no path to regular playing time for Vientos right now.

Urias is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
The Yankees are throwing southpaw Nestor Cortes, but the right-handed hitting Urias will begin this one on the bench. Jordan Westburg is at third base and Jorge Mateo will handle second base.

Urshela (hamstring) will join the Tigers on their upcoming road trip as he continues his running progression, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Urshela is also going through hitting and defensive drills on a daily basis as he ramps things back up. He's been out for the last 10 days with a right hamstring strain but wouldn't appear far off from a rehab assignment.

Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Covers first base in win
Candelario started at first base and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 5-2 win over the Padres.
Candelario filled in at first base for Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand), who was available off the bench. His second-inning double put an end to an 0-for-19 skid, and he eventually scored on a balk. The slumping corner infielder has spent just two days this season with average of .200 or better.

Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Delivers run in loss
Suarez went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.
Suarez was involved in Arizona's three-run fifth inning, plating a run with a single. His bat has slumbered to start the season (.229 average, .634 OPS), but the third baseman has managed to deliver with runners on base. Suarez is third on the club with 18 RBI, fueled by a .414 average with runners in scoring position.
