Austin Hedges C | CLE
Guardians' Austin Hedges: Sitting Game 2
Hedges is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the White Sox.
Hedges went 1-for-4 with a run scored during the matinee, and it's not a surprise he won't be starting both games of the twin bill. Bryan Lavastida will work behind the plate and bat ninth in the nightcap.

Contreras drew starts in the last five games and hit .182 with a homer, two doubles, two runs and two RBI. Yan Gomes will start behind the dish and bat eighth Wednesday.

Mark Kolozsvary C | PHI
Reds' Mark Kolozsvary: Recalled by Cincinnati
Kolozsvary was recalled by the Reds on Wednesday.
Kolozsvary was added to the Reds' taxi squad Saturday, and he'll now join the active roster to provide depth behind the plate after Tyler Stephenson (concussion) was placed on the 7-day injured list Wednesday. The 26-year-old hasn't yet made his major-league debut, and Aramis Garcia will likely see most of the playing time at catcher in Stephenson's absence.

Nola started the last four games and went 4-for-14 with two runs, an RBI, a walk and three strikeouts. Jorge Alfaro will start behind the plate and bat seventh.

Connor Wong C | BOS
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Handles staff, drives in run
Wong went 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and an RBI in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Wong, who stepped in as the starting catcher after both Christian Vazquez and Kevin Plawecki were added to the COVID-19 injury list, produced the game-winning run with a seventh-inning sacrifice fly. He has familiarity with the staff, catching during spring training games and bullpen sessions, so Red Sox manager Alex Cora was confident in the young backstop. All three of his starts in 2021 saw him serve as a battery mate for Nathan Eovaldi, who was also Tuesday's starter. Wong also guided four relievers through 4.1 scoreless innings against a potent Toronto lineup, and he'll remain the primary catcher until Vazquez and/or Plawecki can return to the club.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: Connects on homer
D'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 3-1 victory of the Dodgers on Tuesday.
D'Arnaud gave Atlanta an early lead with a 426-foot shot to left off Los Angeles starter Walker Buehler in the second inning and later tacked on a single in the eighth. The veteran backstop now has consecutive multi-hit games and is slashing an impressive .297/.316/.459 on the season.
